Trailer layout

After a 8 week struggle to get a tank without a hole in the bottom, I finally have all parts to set up trailer. I am ready to bolt everything down but,  am looking for any sugguestions with the layout prior to fastening to trailer. In the pictures is all the equiptment I have. I am using an All-Flow pump with a 5850 for chemical transfer. After reading a post from Lori, I would like to set up a 3-way ball valve for rinsing pump. 2-125 gal tanks, one for H2O and one for the LOVE. looking for some input on placement of equiptment before I bolt things down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Very nice start! I think you can go with the layout you're showing. You don't need to be exact. You can make changes when you see a better way.

I think what many people have said in other posts is true -- you are always wanting to change your set up around and make it better. And what works for some does not work for others. You definitely have plenty of room on that rig to add other equipment or make changes down the road without too much hastle. Once you have a good idea how you want it, put the components in place and go through a few dry runs before bolting them down to make sure it's workable. Hope this helps.

Yes before bolting things down just set them in place.

Pretend your working,

starting equipment

unreeling hose and reeling it up

putting things away

fueling equipment up

walking around trailer and into the street

loading and unloading ladders

feeling up chemical tanks

storage for misc

working in front and behind tailer

Here are my tips:
Another hose reel for H20 in the rear.
Mount hose reels up higher if you can. It easier on your back not to reel leaning over.
Add a pre**ure washer to up sale driveways an sidewalks....at minimum $125 upsale.
I dont see a ladder or ladder rack.
When you add your ladder rack, utilize that area to attach a real nice sign.
And letter those tanks!

You got a good thing going on there...keep up the nice work!

If you are going to pull the trailer with a truck, I would put the compressor in the back of the truck & keep it as far away from the SH fumes as possible.

WoW! Beautiful equipment and huge trailer. We have an aluminum mount that the reel can sit on. You can place the pump below it. It will act as a house for the pump. Do you need a londer air hose? You picked out the BEST tank brackets. We prefer those when we can get them. We often use vinyl coated stainless steel cable with aluminum crimps and eye bolts.

The weight centering looks pretty good.

Keep that slotted filter at the bottom of the tank by slipping a length of PVC approx 3-4 ft over the clear ag hose to act a a sleeve. 1 1/2" pipe would be fine.

Consider adding a small belt drive pressure washer and surface cleaner to that rig. Chris Tucker states that 'you are leaving money on the table if you do not have the pressure washer and sc.'

Hey Rezi69,

I really like your rig, very nice!!

I've been looking for poly-tanks with no hole at the bottom too.  Would you mind telling me where you got yours?  Were they more expensive than the tanks with the hole?

Thanks for your help!

Robert

Nice trailer! All good advice given here. I was going to add a 15 gal tank dedicated to SH. I realized I dont want the tank and the sh fumes that close to PW. You have LOTS of room!

Price was the same with or without a hole. I had tank 4 weeks after I ordered it but, they had a problem with one of the machines that delayed it. I was able to pick up tank instead of having it delivered which lowered the price. Tank manufacturer was Norwest. You can order this thur any Norwest supplier. Be sure to specify part number 40296 which is the tank without hole in bottom. I initally ordered a tank from Tank Depot and I was sent the wrong one bacause they used wrong part number 40298. If you order from them, be sure to give them proper part number for tank with no bottom bulkhead.

Trailer looks good. I would rip those side rails off, nothing but in the way. As soon as they get some SH on them you won't want them anyway. If your gonna keep wood on the trailer encase it in silicone. Wood turns into paper pretty quick in an SH environment. Good work sticking to your guns on the solid tanks. That will truly save you a serious headache.
