Any one ever tried adding white distilled viniger to the mix, just a thought!
unsure if the viniger would react with or aginst the SH. or if it would bring any bennifits to the mix? maybe it would mask the SH oder some?
wrong...wrong!!
the PH of neutral water is 7. , the PH of cholrine is 11.7, the PH of vineger is 2.40 , anything below 7 is acid and anithing above 7 is alkaline ! vineager + water VS SH =
Mixing acids and SH in a pressurized environment can result in a bomb. Glad you asked before you tried it. If any of your equipment has had acid in it before you should neutralize it with a base such as baking soda (Sodium bicarbonate). or any other base before Sodium Hypochlorite touches those components.
You are on to something. Read about how SH works at various PH levels and you will learn a lot about possible new ways of doing things still under investigation.
edit: see here for starters: http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2006-02/asfm-vik021306.php
Also make sure you know not to directly combine the two in raw form. Any comments made assume you know how to use and safely mix chemicals.

It all but killed a guy in Florida last year. He had some acid residue in a pump up bottle, and filled it with SH. When he got to the roof top the bottle exploded, leaving a big whole in the roof and an almost dead roof cleaner on the ground. It was a topic of much conversation on the forum last year.

Go to Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Florida and scroll about 1/2 way down the page. There is a link to a roof cleaning explosion, and a true story about what happens when acid and chlorine is mixed!
