I may have come across a good answer (or promo) for customers' questions about using sodium hypochlorite. While visiting my sister-in-law who is a pharmacist, she was interested in what's in the roof wash I use. When I told her the basic chemical was SH she commented that she sometimes makes "Dakin's Solution" for the hospital where she works. It is a 0.5% sodium hypochlorite solution that is used for cleaning, disinfecting, and even for cleaning wounds in some cases.
Da·kin's solution (dā'kĭnz) n. A dilute aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite used in cleansing wounds.
So, fellows, we are using the same basic chemical that hospitals use to clean and disinfect and, to clean certain wounds. Check it out for your self. Here's one of many sites that came up on google...
