Hey all. I'm a mobile detailer turned "home detailer". I had so many customers ask me to handle their homes that I had to convert......and I'm so glad I did.
I have the house washing down pretty well. It's the roof cleaning that's stumping me. So many different techniques.... Spray the roof from the ground with Sodium Hypochlorite leave on and don't rinse. Some rinse. Some get on the roof. Some use other chemicals. Some use use machines that creep down the roof cleaning it.
Arghhhhhhhhh! I don't know what is best. I have limited money and can't afford to experiment.
I just need the right equipment (chemicals too) with a process. Please.

Hi Justin.
we basically spray the cleaner on from the ground or ladder, the most reliable pump most use is an All-Flo, as far as the cleaner SH and ammonyx.
Lori with PWP can help you out with your equipment and Ammonyx. 99% of all members here use her service, so call her!
I remember finding this site and I had all the time in the world to just read….with out a dough the search feature on this site is so useful that if you use it we may not here from you again until next month…( I’m not kidding ) there is so much info on this site and the best roof cleaners are here as well so use that search button and we will see you on the other side…
Jason, welcome to the most roof cleaning knowledge ever assembled in one place. Lori will tell you what you need, and she is in tune with all the latest developments in roof cleaning. Most veteran or new roof cleaners that find us feel like they have finally "come home" Roof Cleaning Information is not an afterthought here like at some Forums Jason, it is our ONLY reason for being. Many of our Certified Roof Cleaners earn as much in a day as some car detailers make in a week. We will teach you the Roof Cleaning Business.
Hi Justin, welcome to the board. Like Chris said, once you learn how, market & sell yourself right, and build up clientell you will be making ten times what you used to make.
I know because I am also a former car detailer.
I started out in spring of 1999 cleaning cars, started washing houses in summer of 1999, bought my first yellow pages ad in 2000, by 2002 I was cleaning roofs, by 2003 I no longer needed to wash cars to keep busy.
Put your nose to the grindstone and put all your efforts and marketing into houses and roofs. That's where the money is.

Life is all a learning experience jason. I make more money in a day then I made in a month at some chit jobs I have had, over the years. We did over 11 grand last week, a good week, aided by that big commercial roof cleaning in pasco county we just posted on the forum. Everyone is different when it comes to money Jason. I feel broke with less then 500 dollars cash on me. That is one roof. I wanted me a new boat, so I hit a subdivision hard with flyers one weekend, and had enough money to not only buy the boat, but get a fish finder for it as well, I always try to buy good used stuff jason if I can, I am known personally by every Pawn Shop from tampa to sarasota! I even go to salvation army on wednesdays, cause it is 1/2 price! My boy gives me chit jason, he says "dad, we own the best known roof cleaning company in Tampa, and we have thousands in the bank" I try to explain to him about the thrill I get finding a used pair of bluejeans that fit my fat azz like a glove for 3 dollars I will literally take 15 pairs to try on, to find that one pair, and when I do, I get a RUSH Jason, seriously! I get that same kind of Rush finding answers to the roof cleaning puzzle. It is what drives me, after 16 years of doing this. I actually get off on seeing others do well from what we have taught them here at RCIA! One day, I may meet you over a beer, and hear you laugh at what you USED to do, before cleaning roofs!
