i picked up 16% sh the other day and it worked great. IS it just over kill because i see a lot of guys only use 12%

also most of the jobs i get have a lot of moss. do you guys always come back and low pressure rinse the roof or do you just wait it out.

Thanks -Josh

Nothing wrong with 16% just cut It down accordingly to the percentages you need. I never try to rinse moss the moss off prematurely. Most customers will understand it takes time for the roots to break down for the moss to release completely. Usually a few good rains will do the trick. If you go the route of leaving it to mother nature, touch base with your customers or swing by to inspect the roof periodically. A new customer can feel abandoned if they aren't familiar with the process and still see moss on the roof... Even if it is dead and just waiting to blow off.

I didnt know  you  could get 16% i  thought 15 was the highest it got, from what Ive been told by the manufacture of SH it starts at 15 then reduces to 12.5 with in a week and levels out there for about 30 days ...

But yes its all good just cut it more like say  to 15 gallons SH to  35 gallons H2O

Let others chime in on this....

I understand the same thing. Straight from the supplier. SH is 15 when brand new. If older it goes below 12.5. It "averages" 12.5.

my supplier told me it comes from the place where its made 15.5% sometimes higher, thats for where his suppiler is. he said by law they have to put 12.5%. he also said in a garage it will take a month to get down to 12.5%.
