I'm trying to cover my tracks by figuring out how strong the SH is after its applied and I wait for the rain. By the time it is rinsed off by the rain, how strong is the SH and if it found its way into a drain system, is it strong enough to still kill fish? I'm in the land of 10,000 lakes and don't want to ruin my hobby.

Well, when SH evaporates, most of the chlorine is gone, leaving Salt behind. Many gutters here in Tampa Florida lead underground into lakes and retention ponds that are stocked with Bass, and other Fish. I have never had a problem, but then the fish never called me before they died either ...... What ya gotta watch out for is direct spray or drippings of live chemical into small fish ponds ! Discharge into a lake of a little Salt is no worse then salt run off from the roads, and as long as a Fish is not right in the path of it, should present no problems. It never has in well over 500 roofs we have cleaned with this direct roof cleaning chemical run off into a Lake situation present. There are many Fishermen here at RCIA ! Thank You for your concern about the environment
Thanks. There is no dollar amount I could make on any or all roofs that would be worth sacrificing my business name or my favorite past time. Just wanting to make sure. I spoke with the Minnesota EPA and its such an unheard of industry that they really have know idea as to what precautions are needed. They mentioned a possible permit needed for discharge, but I don't plan on having any so I can bypass that.

I would be careful talking to any type of environmental bureaucrats. Technically, it is against the law in Tampa to spit on a sidewalk! The Police State we call America has laws against everything.
