SH on Roof caulk or cement repairs

Does anyone have an idea of how SH affects caulk on shingled roofs.  I'm talking about the last ridge cap that gets nailed and caulked and around vents.

What about black roof cement, if a homeowner did a quick repair years ago.  I didn't know if I would cause any black run off from old roof cement. (can't really do a test sample to find out)

Should'n cause any problems on the caulk and the only run off you would have from the roof patch is if you were going to use a petroleum product in your cleaning.
