Got my shipment in from Lori on thursday and used it Friday for the first time.... in one word "WOW"!
It will most definitely save on chemical cost over the long run. It was a moderate pitched shingle roof and that solution just stuck like peanut butter! House had an extensive landscape package and I had very little run off. I sprayed at 35% SH.
My only complaint is the suds are so thick it covers up the dirty areas and I had to wait for them to dissipate longer than with my typical mix to respray the problem areas.
Not that big of a problem on a whole house type job.
Thinned my remaining mix down and re-soaped with two more ounces of A-LO and it made a great house wash. Windows came out great.
I sprayed the concrete with solution too ( i usually spray concrete at 15-20% and then pressure wash). I sprayed it with the house mix (7% SH) and the suds kept the SH in play much longer. Concrete came out great. Just the concrete part alone was a savings of five gallons of SH.

I used my first patch today of Ammonyx lo today, used it on the roof unfortunately I did not see the results I wish I would have seen. It did okay but not as good as my old mix, but I also used it on the house washing solution and it did great. So at this time I am 100% satisfied on the house washing but 50-50 on the billy bob mix. I will try it once or twice more and see from there. Thanks lori for getting it out so quick though.

Larry that sounds better. I'm following Billy Jensen's orginal suggestion of 42 oz (1/3 gallon) of ammonyx lo for a 100 gallon mix. There are times when I want the mix thicker and will go up on the ammonyx lo.
Midwest cleaners, Has anyone found a source of ammonyx LO nearby? I would really like to give it a try, but shipping costs from FL are prohibitive. The only supplier I know has it in drums for around $900. I'd rather buy in gallon size for obvious reasons.

I actually don't measure and I use quit a bit in my mix but then again when I'm running low I just stop by Lori's and grab some more. I think I've got about 3 gals on my rig and 2-3gals in the beck of my truck right now. I also have about 4 more big bottles of Dawn that have been sitting there for about 3 months since I started using the Ammonyx. LOL...I've actually given a few away. I never use Dawn anymore.
My SH supplier can get me a 55 gl drum for 795.00 here of Ammonxy lo but times are slow and thats a big number but then again it would last a long time. I am still debating it, I do not have Lori that close to me . Good luck and happy cleaning.
I just went out and checked my gallon of Amonyx...I used well less than 1/4 of a gallon, maybe it was more like 12 oz. Still it was much thicker and foamier than anything I've ever used before and I liked it!

I like it I like it I like it. I really like using it for house washing as well. I'm going to try the NP 9 too just to see for my self if its any better. I tell you people loves to see soap!

Shipping costs from FL are prohibitive? ? ? ?
You are joking here right? ? ?
So if I am reading this correctly, you can't afford to charge enough for roof cleaning to factor in the price of the product and shipping into your roof cleaning jobs? ? ?
Are you trying to tell me that you can't make enough profit on roof cleaning jobs to cover expenses of shipping and product to make the job go quicker, use less chemicals overall due to the Hang Tite and worry less about runoff? ? ?
I got some shipped from Lori at Pressure Washer Products and the shipping was reasonable. Did you really check with her for shipping and product costs?
Since I have tried the Hang Tite, I would not do roof cleaning without it, even if the prices went up because it is helping to do the jobs way faster than before, use less chemicals overall which means more bottom line profit which will more than cover the cost of shipping.
One thing about being a professional contractor is using professional grade equipment, chemicals and knowledge.
Professional grade chemicals means you are charging enough to stay in business, this is not a hobby. Shipping costs is part of doing business. Shipping costs is factored into the price of doing the job. Shipping costs are part of business and part of life.
I get chemicals from all around the country and that is just part of doing business.
If you want professional results, spend the money and get the professional chemicals and do a professional job.
If you are new to the business, save up money then order a few of the 5 gallon containers so you are set up for a while.
I did a very steep roof, kind of like the shingle roof chappy posted. I put in 1.5 quarts of the Hang Tite into the 50 gallon mix and it helped the chemical stay up there a good time, cleaned good, saved me a lot of time and got me out of there quicker than if I used dawn or something else so I could get to the next job and make money.
Factor in the cost of using professional chemicals so you do a professional job to get professional results.
I am in South Texas, about 3 hours north of the Mexico border, a lot further away from you and I feel strongly about using the Hang Tite from Lori at Pressure Washer Products. It has made a huge difference in how I do roof cleaning in Corpus Christi Texas, so much that it is saving me time, money and chemical cost. When you look at it that way, you cannot afford not to get it, otherwise you are probably wasting money, time and chemicals.
Ok, I am done rambling here. hahahahaha

Lori can ship the Ammonyx to ANYWHERE. You will definitely see a big difference in how your Roof Cleaning jobs as well as your House Washing come out. I actually think that if I ran out I would have the DT's. lol
No Clive. I only know of 2 people who have used the NP-9 and both were for Roof Cleanings. One had an issue where it actually left an awful caked on mess up on a Roof and another buddy of mine actually lost a pump because it caked up the inside of it and it overheated and died. those 2 stories were enough to keep me from even trying it. Maybe they were just using it wrong? I don't know. I just like sticking with what I know works.

Chris, no I'm not doing this as a hobby. I talked to Lori this morning and ordered 5 gallons before I read these posts. In her original quote, it cost more to ship a single gallon to IN than the cost of the material. That registered to me to be "prohibitive". IN is a little farther than across the Gulf, maybe? You folks seem to have great results using the product and I'm looking forward to using it. We have lots of very steep roofs here. Gotta have it!
Not a hobby roof cleaner, just a tight azz!
