So far, I can't get Univar to answer the phone or an email. I guess I have to drive there to get it started. Do you have to use 500 gal. a week to get their attention?

I used Univar last year here in St Louis. They were at $2.72 a gallon for 53 gallon drum no deposit. This week I found a pool supply that will fill my drum with 15% at $2.60 a gallon so I will use them. They will also let me get any amount not just fill the drum. I went in Thursday and got 20 gallons just to make sure they had fresh SH. You have to go and find it in your area with the best price.
Were right at 2 bucks a gallon. Then $35 for delivery. Which is nice because I was paying 3.30 gallon and I had to pick it up. Im buying from a pool supplier instead of a large chem company now. They even deliver it in a truck with a tommy gate and put the sh directly in my barn.
The company I just switched to would probably deliver to my house. I was using Harcros and they delivered in a semi... so No for them and when I priced Univar they said No delivery to residences.
Harcros told me I had to have a $500 minimum order, but did refer me to a waste water treatment supplier they sell to. I pay 1.45/gal in a 15 gal container, perfect size for mixing a 40 gal batch. They are a beast to move around but beat the heck out of a 55 gal drum.
Are prices rising because of the economy? I called a waste water company today, at first he said $8.00 a gallon 10 to 12%, which blew me out of the water.....then I asked for a 55 gal price, $115.00 plus $45.00 drum fee....
I just talked my supplier into dropping his price by 10%. We pay $1.28 a gallon here in my area for 15% SH. I guess its because there are so many pools here in Sunny Fla.

Most of you should be able to find a supplier that will deliver on a predetermined route for aroud $2 or less a gallon. I do have to pay a deposit as well, but it circulates. We plan to install a fill tank in our shop this year and our SH supplier will just come and fill it up.
Are there any regs for the fill tank Bill? And what were you guys thinking a 500 gal.
I was thingking of doing this as well. Not sure if you had to register or apply for another license. My supplier has a 200 gallon limit for free delivery so I figure why not.
