Hi and welcome Will. If you work for Ac than you already know the Mallard System. As far as I know it's the name they give for the way they clean roofs. Pretty much the same as what everyone else is using here. It's called branding, but really it's what you have already been doing for them. Now if Terraclean had you sign a non-compete agreement, as I do for my employess you legally can not clean roofs in their territory or whatever the agreement says. If not than you already probably know how to clean roofs. AC (the owner of Terraclean) is actually a member of this forum as well.

I was always under the impression that he was using commercial Hydrogen Peroxide for roof cleaning. If you worked for them for even one job you would have smelled bleach at some point. Where as HP hasn't near the distinct smell that SH has.

But the way it was marketed is what sets it apart more than anything I think. A good marketing plan will take you way far in any business, but even the best service or product will do nothing spectacular on it's own. Someone once said;

Advertising and marketing isn't an expense, it's an investment"

Did you smell bleach when you where spraying roofs?

I know what they use, and i have no attention of selling out the company. i just didnt have an understanding of what the mallard system was. I pretty much got the idea now.

AC Lockyer of Mallard posts here, and is a personal friend.
The Mallard System is their system.

I used to have a "3 step" process advertised in my fliers for roof cleaning.
An employee was asked "What is the Apple 3 Step System"
He did not know, so he answered, "We go up on your roof, we get down, we get paid"

We will be getting busy again in about a month. You should come back and go to work! We will need help soon.

The non-compete is for 2 years and the confidentiality agreement part is for 5 years. I spent the money with the suits to have it drawn up. I'd be happy to let anyone use it.  Florida will only uphold a non-compete for 2 years.

I called it the Mallard System because I love ducks and Mallards are my fave. I have a duck hidden on or in everything I do.

So far I smelled Apple as soon as the UPS truck pulled up. It was funny!

I still get calls in my area from previous Mallard customers wishing they were back in the county.
