I'm a newby and i have searched for the apple butte recipe and tryed to find out what (STEOL CS 230-KE OR STEOL BES27-D5) this means with no luck so this is why i posted this question.
I really want to post on here but as i read thru the posts it seems like when a newby posts something they get their buts ripped because they didn't search first. I also do search before posting but then i have nothing to post about because this is such a good site and usually all of my questions get answered by reading.
Confused, I read with the ammonyx Lo there was no need to add tsp and now i'm reading you should add it. Can someone please carify this for me, thanks.

Don't feel that way. There are questions you will need to ask, as you have on this post. It is when the answers have been posted many times to questions that the brothers get alittle sideways, including myself. Our time is limited and we try to focus on the future not the past.
Thanks for your paasion to learn and do ask questions when the search does not give you results.
I stopped using TSP when I started using the ammonyx product. My understanding is that you might want to add some TSP if you get a real diry tile roof. Guys who do a lot of tile roofs please correct me if I'm wrong.
Being that we are newbies here and learning everything before we start to get our feet wet out there, I have a very dumb question and please don't laugh What is TSP? I see you refer a lot to it and that it belongs in the formula.
Sorry to ask a dumb question . But being that we are newbies and searching everything before we go out there to work can anyone tell me what is TSP? I see it being referred as part of the formula. I hope I dont sound too dumb for asking this

Trisodium Phosphate Maria, a very powerful phosphate based cleaner that was legislated out of use for home cleaning by the consumer. It was the stuff Mom used to get chit stains out of underwear and make whites really white!
It is about THE most powerful cleaner you could ever hope to add to a roof cleaning mix, but you must be careful when using it. Please consider to become a Premuim member one day, it makes the search much faster, and there are many secrets you will learn there.
Lets not all forget something. The more we make our mix to stick the the chances that it will stick to landscaping when it rains goes way up too. There is a fine line to have to walk there. Especially for us guys here in FL that deal with homes that normally have no gutters.

The confusion you see is because we all face DIFFERENT Algae compositions and infestations. It is NOT all only Gleocapsa Magma, despits what you may have read.
TSP will improve ANY Roof Cleaning mix, although sometimes in someones area, it is not required. Adding TSP is kind of like having a 600 hp auto you drive on a side street, most of the time, all that power is a waste, because it can't be used. But every now and then, when the Cops aren't looking, and no one is out on the main roads, it really feels good to open it up, and use the full 600 hp!
When using TSP WITH Ammonyx, only 1/4 cup gallon is needed BTW for shingle roofs. And, for cleaning bare concrete tile roofs TSP has NO Equal. Also, for softwashing concrete, you want TSP, sometimes as much as 1 Cup per gallon of mix. It will whiten concrete up like no ones business.
Great post. I learned alot. But I have a question. What exactly does the isp do for cleaning? Is it only for cold weather??? Also where do you get isp in large quantities??

Trisodium phosphate (TSP, E339) is a cleaning agent, food additive, stain remover and degreaser. It is a white, granular or crystalline solid, highly soluble in water producing an alkaline solution. The item of commerce is often partially hydrated and may range from anhydrous trisodium phosphate, Na3PO4, to the dodecahydrate, Na3PO4·12H2O. Most often found in white powder form, it can also be called trisodium orthophosphate or just plain sodium phosphate. Trisodium phosphate was at one time extensively used in formulations for a wide variety of consumer grade soaps and detergents, but ecological problems have largely ended that practice, at least in the western world. Substitutes are not as effective, but the raw chemical can be bought in bulk to add to underpowered detergents.[2]
The major use for trisodium phosphate is in cleaning agents. The pH of a 1% solution is 12, and the solution is sufficiently alkaline to saponify grease and oils. In combination with surfactants, TSP is an excellent agent for cleaning everything from laundry to concrete driveways. This versatility and low manufacturing price, made TSP the preferred basis for a plethora of cleaning products sold in the mid-20th century. TSP is still sold, and used, as a cleaning agent, but during the late 1960s in the United States,[citation needed] government regulators in seventeen states determined that overuse led to a series of ecological problems.[3]
By the end of the 20th century, many products that formerly contained TSP were manufactured with TSP Substitutes, which consist mainly of sodium carbonate along with various admixtures of nonionic surfactants and a limited percentage of sodium phosphates.
TSP is commonly used after cleaning with mineral spirits in order to remove hydrocarbon residues.[citation needed] TSP may be used with household chlorine bleach in the same solution without hazardous reactions.[4] This mixture is particularly good for removing mildew.
Although it is still the active ingredient in some toilet bowl cleaning tablets, TSP is generally not good for cleaning bathrooms, because it can corrode metal and can damage grout.[5]
