And yes filters are great, only use plastic filters in your SH and mix tank or you will be sucking up rust and corrosion

Bill, Great Advice! Keep those mushroom style stainless and rubber(?) filters far from any SH. Bill is right! They WILL rust and that rust will damage the diaphragms on a 12 volt and air diaphragm.

Can you recommend any "green" detergents to use?  Using it for an RV and I've read somewhere how cleaning solutions can clog up drainage systems and the like.

SH is used all around the world for sanitizing, it is in municipal drinking water supply's, it is in swimming pools, etc.... not sure how much greener than that it can get.
