Bill, I have only been using 2 pounds of tsp in 40 gallon mix and using a third gallon of Amonxyl Lo and 64 ounces Alcohol no Borax and my roofs have been coming out great.
Guess I'm just concerned about taking the Borax out of the mix since it's suppose to help the roof stay clean longer. I don't think there's any harm in keeping it in.
That seems like a lot of Am Lo. I've been going with 1/3 gallon per 100 gallon mix. I take it you're not seeing too much residue or a film when finished? That was a point brought up in another post on the Am Lo I think. Thanks!
I have been using 15-20 gal sh with 5lbs tsp 2lbs borax plus varying amounts of dawn and isp. My new mix is 15-20gal sh 1/3+ gal ammonyx 2lb borax and varying amounts of isp. I am still considering a smaller amount of tsp but probably will just use up what I have.

Is this for a shingle or tile roof? I think the sh concentration would have to be higher on a tile roof.
This is what we used this weekend for a 40 gal mix: 13 gal. SH, 2 lb TSP, 5 lb Borax, 1/4 gal. Am LO and a pinch of IPA. We cut the TSP in half. I would say that it didn't stick quite as well because of this but the spraying was pretty sporatic because of the gusts of wind.
if i am using a back pack sprayer should i not use any alcohal due to it needing to be vented?
*** Before I new better....What happens is the hose connecting at the bottom of the back pack sprayer will pop off and a huge gush of cyder flows down your crack. Not a pleasant experience!!!
Plus you get a white bloch on your t-shirt and a white bloch down your trousers back side.
