50 degrees will be fine. There's still snow on the roofs in Maryland. I'm hoping it melts soon, so I can back to making some money. I've got roofs scheduled, but can't get them done.

Anxious to hear how turns out! Snow on roofs here. My experience last December, my last roof, temps were round 50. Lil more touch up than usual. It got done, just took longer to wash the roof. I didnt have access to warm water!

I just looked at 10 day forecast. Nothing above freezing here for that long. At this rate, my first cleaning will be around Memorial Day. Indy 500 may be postponed for snow.

While shoveling snow, I had a thought. Roof Cleaners of Jamaica, LTD. Lots of stuff growing on the roofs down there...tropical, ave. temps 80-90 year round, sounds great.

My luck I would only get paid with the local "herbs" and forget why I was there in the first place.

All us northerners can do is dream and plan. I hope your first of the year works out great for you!

Same here Thomas. I just did a roof yesterday too.

I forgot to bring the camera though. The lighting sucked anyway, too many trees in front of the roof.

Everything went smooth, 2500 sq.ft roof, very old and neglected. 24 years old.

Usually a roof this old and neglected requires a ton of chemical, sometimes twice as much. This was an exception probably because of the angle the roof faced the sun.
It was an East / West roof.

North / South roofs are the worst because the North side will consume pretty much all your chemical.

Fortunately my normal mix of 40 gallons worked great.

I added 5 more gallons as I was finishing up the back side, so I only needed 45 gallons total.

Yep, better to have 35 degrees and sunny, then 40 degrees and overcast.

We are still looking at 30 inches of snow up here. You can't even see most roofs yet. In fact, I watched my 100lb yellow lab walking on top of an 8 foot high snow drift in my back yard. He is barely leaving claw marks in the surface of that snow. I can't wait for some warm temperatures!

I hear ya! Been under snow so long I forgot what a shingle looks like ! High of 34 today, heat wave ! Got some serious cabin fever. How did that roof cleaning go Thomas ? Give us all the details.

Snows melting quick!! Just landed a Job for March 5th today!! Wasn't gonna start until March 8th but these people are eager to sell their homes and are hungry to get em on the market with clean roofs!! Snow should be gone by the end of next week here in MD, unless we get a big one Monday night. Just hope that wind dies down!!!

The roof came out perfect. i did not take any after pictures because it was still wet.i am going back on Sunday to take some after pictures. i will post them Monday.

I thought you guys got hammered by that last storm? Went skiing over at the Wisp last week and they just finished having blizzard conditions lifted the day before. Hope the weather works out for you and us. Starting to see some shingles, but not many.

I'm starting some good jobs this week not any roofs though. its been to cold and snowy here this year to be up on the roofs(even though anytime is a good time to be on a roof lol) so i havent got to my first roof this year yet. Still waiting.....patiently.
