Has anyone ever offered gift certificates for roof cleaning? Could be a winner if promoted right. Maybe offer like a $300.00 gift certificate for $275.00 or even $250.00. You get paid up front, perform the work sometime in the future, and keep your bills paid during the winter. Also gets you a chance to upsell your services when the weather breaks and you actually do the work. Just a thought!

Hi Gary is that about what the average roof cleaning job is going for in Louisville Kentucky $300 - $250 ?
I think the ONLY way you could sell gift certificates is that if you had a established store front; facility.

Have not been involved long enough to decide what the average $$$ is in Louisville. The figures I used were just a reference point. If someone, parent, friend, business associate, wanted to give a gift with a $250.--$300. range, and they knew the receiving party needed their roof cleaned, a gift certificate would be a good "start" towards getting it done. Then your up-sales ability comes into play to seal the deal. You would already have the funds from the gift sale, so you could be a little more flexable on the deal. A lot would ride on how and where you presented it. One of my "MOVING MESSAGE SIGNS" would work GREAT for this purpose. lol
We donate Gift Certificates to our local schools for fundrasing. One school has an auction every year and local business donate items. Last year my 200 gift certificate raised 125 dollars for the school PTA. It lead to 5 jobs and over 1500 in profit.

I like the idea. It started me to thinking. As an entry to Home Owner Association meetings offer a $200 gift certificate as a door prize and require that the HOA allow you to set up an information table.
