I saw a post recently asking about diagrams for piping that would direct the flow into or out of the tank with the same pump. Here is my setup.

Gil
That set up looks pretty sophisticated. Can you give some more details on what you have done and why?

Very nice set up. I've got mine set up somewhat similar. Just do yourself a huge favor and get an in line filter between your compressor and your air flow pump. You wouldn't believe the moisture that it traps. Not having one on there will cause your Roof Cleaning pump to stop pumping and could damage it. They are only $12.00 @ Home Depot or Lowe's. They will save you a TON of grief. Trust me.

This manifold/valve system is just for my 12volt pump.

Feeding from the bottom?

I SAW that Too !!!
Hey man, we all live in the real world.
Several already have tanks with bulkheads cut in the bottom!
We use what we got.

They will soon learn, as we did, that the SH will find it's way OUT of the bulkhead.
But, by then, they will have  made enough money to do it right roof cleaning

That is, if a rusted out driveshaft don't find it's way up their azz first ?

Trust me, you have not "lived" until a driveshaft/u-joints snap at 70 mph from SH dripping on it.
Or, until you hit a pot hole, your rusted springs break, and you find yourself upside down with 600 gallons of SH in your tank leaking all over the roadside ?

But the piping systems displayed are all VERY Impressive otherwise.
Good Job Guys!

KEEP your eyes on that bulkhead fitting ?

Heyward, or Hayward makes a very good bulkhead fitting with Viton/Teflon O Rings.

EDPM O Rings is NOT good enough for constant SH exposure!

Also, tanks flex, especially big ones.

It is a good practice to chech tightness every 3 months or so of the bulkhead fitting ?

Have any of you guys tried plastic welding?  Thought about picking one up or having a friend of mine weld an older tank that has an outlet on the bottom.

We buy our tanks right from a tank plant!
We no longer use 500 to 600 gallon tanks, too many leak problems.
On leaking tanks, they fix them at the plant with a router, and a nylon  disc.
They put the nylon disc in a router, and start routing the tank, and the nylon melts into the tank.
Works great, until the SH attacks the nylon, and the guy in the car next to you says "Your tank is spilling water on my car"
Then it is time to say Thanks, and get the heck OUTTA there, quick roof cleaning

LOL...  That's not a Kodak moment I want to EVER experience.

Wasn't sure how that would hold up in the long run.  So, if there's a will, the LOVE will find a way.

Guess I have another use for that old tank.

Larry,

You & Gilbo both have a real nice set plumbing up for your rigs. Ours is fairly similar. We have All Flo pumps and have it set up to pump from our storage tank to the tanks on our rig. Your right about that moisture filter definately a must. Sorry no pics, our rig is still in storage. Snowing.

I am thinking of using aluminum banding to hold my tanks in on my new trailer. Should have the trailer soon. I always like the board layouts for valving, looks very clean. I can't decide if I want to use all thread and hanger supports on gray chem pvc or if I want to lay all pipes down on the trailer bed. Either way I will have a riser on my top feed tanks and I feel it needs a hanger of some kind.

I would think laying the pipes down would be a cleaner look but would it take up more space Bill?  Not sure, you're better at this game than I am.  I'm working on a new trailer setup as well.

Maybe I should talk to Dave W. from Roof Clean USA first?  I hear he knows a thing or two about trailer setups?? LOL...
