I'm thinking love would work providing the material is synthetic ( man made material ) other than that you know what bleach can do to cloth. most likely they are synthetic. always do a test in a inconspicuous area.
Not too many of those things around Pittsburgh, but I will tell you this.......I cleaned my deck furniture umbrella with full strength love, because I had some extra. It is probably the same type of material.
I sprayed from underneath and the cool part is that it went through to the other side (no need to spray the top). I did have to rinse, but it was night and day better. Cleaned like a charm.

I know some shades are treated with a water repellent, I would think that the wash chem may eat the repellent. If the manufacture say no chlorine I dang sure would not use it. You would be taking the liability if it no longer sheds water. Ask the manufacture what they recommend. My two cents Good luck. MW
