You could easily get 800 dollars for cleaning the siding and including the deck and everything else close to 2000.00 not to mention preserving the wood. With cleaning and preserving ( staining ) that would be about a 5.000 dollar job. I have completed several of them this year.
Looking forward to seeng the after pics. That was one of my first thoughts as well, if they don't seem interested in getting the wood done leave a flyer with a before and after pic, info and a quote... or offer to do a test spot so they can see the difference...
Wow, I can't wait to see the before and after of this one. It makes you wonder how people can just sit around for so long without taking action to do something about their roof!
Let us know how the roof turned out in the colder weather. We usually clean roofs in Evansville, Indiana until mid-November. We still have enough scheduled to get us through that time, and a couple more coming in each day. But, the weather patterns are a bit sporadic. In Evansville it has rained for 8 of the last 12 days, but in Newburgh, which is just up the road, the weather has been more stable.
With winter rapadly approaching will you roof cleaners in the Mid West and North East be cleaning during the winter ? If so please answer the following questions.
1) what is the coldest temperature the love will be effective? 40 degrees as stated above. 2) what other concerns are there cleaning in the cold? Bleach has a lower freezing temp so it doesnt ice as quickly. 3) Will customers even call to have their roof cleaned in the winter? Customers usually call when they are outside enjoying thier home. 4) would you consider starting a roof cleaning business in the winter? Sure, need to plant seeds sometime for a spring harvest. I have often thought that a roof cleaning truck would make a wonderful deicing truck. Someone should try that as a seasonal service.

I'm in Louisville Kentucky and I am cleaning a roof tomorrow. Temp is going to be 48 tonight and only 41 tomorrow. Just give it extra dwell time. Maybe 30 min or so.
Just remember to blow out your hoses with an air compressor. You dont want to take a chance on water freezing and busting a hose at night.

sorry guys i dont hav any after pic of that job because my flipping cumputer crashed.i lost a entire years worth of work .sorrybut on the brite side the job looked awsome and as far as the wood sidding went the home owner liked the old moldy look.
I have done some research and my findinig are that 12% S.H. undeluted does not freeze, even at temperatures at 10%, so my thinking is long as I am able to get water to rinse the vegetation I can work say at 35 degrees. What do you folks think?
Also forget to mention: in my finding the S.H. is still effective at 10 degrees. thats interesting because I know I heard alot of people thought it would'nt be.
Too cold out...Let's go fishin'......................
