It is a great idea. I would love to pay a comission to someone. It's not easy to find that right person.

Sounds good to me. But whats the exchange rate? lol

When I started business in 1990, I had a former co-worker approached me with the idea. We instituted it and my sales drastically increased. He would scope out areas and would go door to door. In most cases, just handing litature to the homeowner. Once they asked what it was, it opened the door for him to explain roof cleaning and so on. We continued this for several years. I will say that it is the main reason we are a successful company today. In today's market, most municapalites require a soliciters license, which can be very costly.

I say, research the laws governing your area and give it a try. It does (or did) work.
Be sure to have a non-compete in place. You are giving this individual all the tools, knowledge and convidence needed to go out on their own.

I assume you would want this person to be very well trained in Roof cleaning or it could back fire on you.

I give $25 for a customer referral, job or no job. I give realtors $50 a pop.

Do any of you gents pay a percentage or just straight fee?
