Just dilute the heck out of it with water.
Remember, we drink chlorine in our water ?

That's right we do, lol. I love to tell people that. In this case dilution is definitely the solution, even though it wasn't for were that phrase came from.

The rain will also neutralize the solution because it is slightly acidic with a ph of 5.6.

If you google, you can find out how to lower the ph of pools. Wouldnt this be the same?

Dave here,

Hello Caleb

I haven't done this or at least I can't ever remember having to do this or run into this situation or need but...

How BOUT GETTING SOME REAL APPLE CIDER vinegar and it will reduce the ph way down I believe.

Vinegar in bulk is fairly cheap and plentiful?

Alkalinity is what drive PH up isn't it? So, it stands to reason, that lowering the Alkalinity would require a solution that is more ACID?

Vinegar is ACID in terms of PH like 5.5 I believe so add vinegar and water and you should, get the result you are seeking?

Chime in anyone cause I did not look this up as I usually do. I just took this info from my memory banks so it could be faulty but i think I am on the right track :)

Good Luck Caleb and let us know the results!

I personally would pour it back into my cleaning tank through a strainer and reuse it. Count it as water when you make your next batch.

thanks a heap guys...think i might stick with the watering down method...

for those who mentioned using acids to lower the pH just thought i would give a word of warning...when mixing sh with acids, even vinegar, chlorine gas is released which is lethal, even fatal...probably not worth the risk to us or our customers

SH is the primary ingredient in the proprietary purification blend that waste water treatment facilities use to "purify" our municipal water supply. Their request makes absolutely no sense to me, as the pH of the already diluted mix will be insignificant in registering a shift in the pH levels at the purification buffer entryway.
