Hey all My Fellow Roof Cleaning Brothers,

I was trying to help my daughter with her 11th grade homework. Has it been that long I asked myself. Nervously I made an exit strategy in my mind and skidaddled out of the den, onto the RCIA for a minute or two to see what's new.

So I started thinking and reading. The topic popped up in my head and I thought, what the heck, I'll write a little about my experience here as Assistant administrator and Co-Founder of this great roof cleaning contractor forum.

The topic- New roof cleaners.

Wet behind the ears, curious, questioning, doubting how this non pressure approach could even be possible. Hesitant, dabbling and busy into the night, even on weekends, tweaking their roof cleaning contraptions, their trailers or trucks so they can spray water and cleaning agents for money.

Some hate them, others love them, and while, a few veterans take a few of the eager one's that just can't grasp it all and coddle them, working with these new members at volunteer wages, these unsung hero's' of the trade, work with these lonesome souls, treat them like family some do, like trainees at the the local tech school and still, others don't respond or care, just asking to play and fill the role of the consumer, taking much but leaving little in return.

Ah, we are taught that so well, subconsciously in our society today that it is like second nature, just gobbling up mountains of data turned to O's and 1's turned into html that is free for the taking from those few, willing to give.

Many others here don't give a "SNAP" who comes and goes on this roof cleaning knowledge base, one way or another.

Personally, it's nice to see that, what I do everyday, is enjoyed by others and is such an interesting topic to many that they will continue to write about it.

Some come here and research it, the marketing, the rigs, the advertising, the pumps and tips and hose, trying to get it all "just right"

I see myself, on occasion, looking over the posts and the board and trying to keep it all in line as best I can, watching the other night owls, searching away.... late into the night, burning the midnight oil.

Sometimes, I talk or PM or e-mail some that can't get enough of a good thing or others that don't seem to have a clue, trying to be patient and understanding that I was once there too.

Some I notice are like I was and still am, there are those even dreaming into the night about "cleaning roofs" ha, ha, even to  forgoing sleep, living on a few hours of shut eye and juggling two "regular" jobs PLUS a part time roof cleaning biz dreaming of the day when they can go at it full time.

I am INSPIRED still to this day by this.

To all those that are new here and, all those that have a little time and a few roofs under your belt. You all are great.

Those that got bit by the roof cleaning bug and did a few this year, just do me a favor?

Remember to think back when you were just a newbie, a fledgling, and be a little patient with the flock.

Remember we can't take it with us, no matter how hard we try or how gung ho we are.

The board is a realisation of a long time dream and goal Chris Tucker and I shared. To inform the masses of a better, simpler way to clean roofs and to share that vision with others. It's working and I'm proud to know all of you. In all your moments and for allowing me to have mine. For good or bad.

The questions, the frustrations, the dog and cat fights, all of it.

This board is a blast, and I haven't been on in some time as after we got it going, we both now have other things that take our time so we check in and out periodically.

We all owe much thanks also to the Assistant Moderators on the board that help to keep you all, you few, wild unruly motley crue: , in line :) Just Kidding (they do deserve and 'atta boy' by all though members on occasion, seriously)

We have a great bunch of small business people here and its an honor to know all of you.

I have been so busy with other things, and Chris has been off for personal reasons for over a month now, yet, it's so cool check in and see  all the newbies , excited excited with their hair on fire , going 180 mph, and guys that were new that now are getting the hang of things and still others that were newbies and now they speak like they invented the market!

Wow, it's terrific to see so much enthusiasm. I am so glad you all get so much out of this board, this RCIA Institute of Online Roof Cleaning Knowledge.

Welcome and keep coming back all of you.

I know I will.

Its a privilege to be a part of something this inspiring and that is so needed in every community across the globe.

For me, you all keep me coming back, just to see who's excited about this great business we're all in, what's new and who's up to mischief :)

David,

Well said my friend!  I am one of the "newbies" on this site and I must say that the amount of knowledge I have learned over the past month has been gargantuan!  Wow now that's a big word!  Haha.  I truly appreciate how you and Chris and all the others on here have that unique spirit to help others out.  I have been reading and learning so much on this board that I know that I could NOT have learned any of this information from any other place.  I truly feel blessed to have stumbled upon the RCIA.

Now I will take all the knowledge and information that the seasoned veterans, such as yourself & Chris, have given me and go build something special.  I live in Louisville, KY and I truly believe that there is a vast market for non-pressure roof cleaning here and I am going to put forth all my effort into creating the awareness and knowledge of non-pressure roof cleaning to the people here in Louisville.  My goal is to one day be able to come on this board and instead of having to ask a question, I will be able to answer the questions the new "newbies" have.  I also look forward to becoming a certified roof cleaner and being able to give back to the RCIA.   Thanks again for creating the RCIA and all the knowledge you give to us.  I know I truly appreciate it.  Thank you.
