HI Caleb, For no pressure roof cleaning it will not work. I have tried this for a few applications and it just is not capable of producing the same results as sodium hypochlorite. Only Fresh SH is going to do the job. You will find this stated a few times throughout the board by our certified trainers and founders. They do work great on a pool as they stay in solution constantly.
Trust us Brother only the Sh for no pressure roof cleaning will give you what you want.
I'm going to raise the Calcium Hypochlorite issue again
Calcium hypochlorite has a much higher available chlorine content then SH, according to this site http://www.tps.com.au/pools/chlorine.htm 50kg (110 lb) of cal-hypo (calcium hypochlorite) to get the same as 250 litres (66 gallons) of liquid chlorine. Calcium Hypochlorite has around 70%- 75% available chlorine where as SH has only 12.5% as the hypochlorous acid seems to be the worker it got me thinking (which chlorine is when mixed with water)
apart from the mixing powders issue is there something else Sodium Hypochlorite has or can do that Calcium Hypochlorite can not?
This site raised my curiosity about the issue http://www.sagesanitizingsystems.com/Sagewash_cleaning_sanitizing.html I don't think their little sprayer would do much but the article on chlorine got me thinking, Again!
The sodium may be part of it too. That may be what actually kills the algae, I don't know I am not a chemist. All the products sold for roof cleaning have sodium.... sodium hydroxide, sodium percarbonate and the one that works correctly.... sodium hypochlorite. I am betting that sodium has a part in the cleaning. That is why I am also leery of the twinoxide product.
I looked at the Sage Wash website you posted. In the FAQ section this Q&A was posted.
18) How often must I spray an area to prevent or clean mold and algae?
This really depends on how bad the mold and algae problem is and how much moisture is present. In most cases, spraying an area once per week as an inhibitor should be more than sufficient. To eliminate an existing algae/mold problem, consecutive applications over a period of days should get the user to a point where a weekly application is sufficient.
This anwer indicates that consecutive applications over several days are needed to get an existing algae/mold problem eliminated. That doesn't sound very effective to me. Going back to respray for several days wouldn't work.

Hey Chris,..the only thing you can do with salt is dilute it,..NOTHING neutralizes salt.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff the reason i asked was because yesterday i found a pressure washing place that sold something called the brown stuff im sure others have heard of it. The sales guy was basically saying that when mixed with bleach it fights against it so it cleans better and helps with spots on windows that come form the salts of bleach. so i dint know if it was something like green wash our not. its mainly used on house washes but i wonder how it would do on a roof i know he said it can only be mixed on site.
