I have been crazy busy lately, but I finally got around to posting these pictures. This is a roof I cleaned in West Chester Pennsylvania. It was covered in heavy moss and lichen. My avatar is a picture of one of the back sections of this roof and you can see how much moss there was on it.
It has been quite a few months since I did this job. It was over an hours travel time for me so I had put off getting the after pictures. Then all of a sudden, I received about 5 phone calls in one week for estimates in the same area so it was perfect time to get these after pictures.
The purpose of the thread is to help assure people that the chemicals will kill the moss and lichen and they will come off of the roof over the course of a few weeks or a few rains. I have seen quite a few people in the past ask about the moss and lichen coming off after you leave the job and I thought this would be good visual evidence.
I used 2 different cameras with these pictures. One on the before shots and one on the afters. It had been so long since I took the before pictures on the other camera that I could not remember all of the positions I had taken the pictures from. So some of the pictures are not the exact same shot angle before and after. They still give people a good idea as to how the roof looked after it was cleaned. Lighting was extremely difficult on this house because it was in a heavily wooded area.

I was so overly worried about that siding! I wet it down and used a giant section of cardboard to keep any overspray under control. It probably wasn't necessary, but I wasn't taking any chances. OCD kicks in once in a while

Nope! The only things that made contact with them was the LOVE and my feet because I walked on this roof.
The moss was really embedded in the shingles. It all turned white after it was sprayed and the customer said it was gone after the first good rain fall.
