Thanks for all your help today Lori. Great price on that Roof Cleaning pump too. It's time I take the plunge into the air pump world. See you tomorrow!
So Larry what was wrong with your pump and are you going to do the plung get you air pump and compresser.
Hey,,,Whats up Chris? I didn't even know you were on this board. God to see you here. Lets put it this way,,,If the words pump and Larry are in the same sentence I'm gonna have trouble with the pump. Arrrg. Way too long of a story to get into but lets just say it's time to upgrade. I ordered the All Flow Roof Cleaning pump yesterday and it should be in one day next week. I got the KE-038-B3. Lori gave me a really good deal on it. I love dealing with them at Pressure Washer Services. they really make you feel like family. Good people!
KE-038 PVDF/Santoprene/EPDM Max-Pass™ ?? instead of the KV with viton max pass. and what does B3 stand for?? Santoprene seems to have an A rating by my chart and Viton has a C. I thought the Viton had an A...oops. SO this pump should be a little longer lasting than the KV-038. Our engineer friend from All-flo has claimed that the KV will last up to 7 years with no rinsing!!! Maybe we can get even more out of that KE??
Great questions! Thanks for asking for the clarification. I called Steve, our All-Flo Technical Expert and he explained that the KE-038-B3 would be the best match for Larry's Roof Cleaning applications.
It is my understanding that this is the pump that does not need to be rinsed very thoroughly or in the terms of Larry from All Surface, 'babysat'.
The KE-038 is a 3/8" specialty performance air diaphragm pump with PVDF/Santoprene. The B3 stands for santoprene balls.
You are correct. All wetted components are "A" rated. Because the -B3 is added to the description, there are no "B" rated components.
One would need to couple this unit with at least a 3 HP compressor with 10 to 12 cfm's at a minimum of 40 psi.
BTW, 200 feet of 1/2" Kuri hose w/o brass collared crimped ends costs $76. Ends are about $6 or $7 each. It beats holding on to the sharp edges of a hose clamp!
I will call Steve today and verify this information. (Called and verified-----revised this post)
Thanks guys for the heads up!
Lori

WOW, Thanks for explaining all that Lori...At least now I have a better understanding of what I'm getting. LOL...I can't wait to get this Puppy up and running!!! Thanks sooo much for all your help!
Chris,,,, Call Lori for your hose!!! I got the 1/2 in last week from her... Get the Blue. It's pretty! Hahaha! Here is a picture of me stuck in the mud at a job. (Long story) You can see the 1/2 in Blue hose that I picked up!
Larry how many feet are you are you using hose. By the way Larry you need 4 wheel drive for the next time you go muding.
Hahaha! I know, Thank God for Nick ( The Cleaner) who came and pulled me out. It's good to have friends with a 4x4.
As far as the hose goes. I picked up 250ft but used about 15 ft for something else so I've got 235 ft on my reel. It's damn good hose Chris. Especially for Roof Cleaning!
Price is not bad for 200feet for $76 after tax should be about $80. Larry where are you going to get your air compresser from and are you going with gas powered what size. Larry with that new unit you real can bost about being soft wash company after seeing Korys unit it has alot cleaning power to those air powered pumps.

Holy Cats Scooter!!! I thought that the 3/4" hose was the "stuff" to use. That said, the 1/2"blue hose is rather pretty > should match my shoes perfectly.
I've got the Ridig 9 gal. compressor. Is the 1/2" hose (mated with the KE-038-B3 All-Flow) the best set-up?

1/2 is going to work fine but I would Try at least 5/8 and yes 3/4 is ideal. I use both on my all flo pump. 5/8 is a good middle ground for many people as 3/4 gets pretty heavy to lug around.

Too Funny! You will want to go with at least 5/8" hose for the All-Flo 3/8" pump instead of the 1/2".
Okay. 5/8 hose it is then. Golly, I really hope that it comes in blue though.
Oh, and while we are on the subject of hose, is it neccessary to unwind the entire 200' +- feet of hose in order to get flo? I've noticed that my garden hose gets a little smashed when I have too much on the reel.
thanks

Really? I predicted that the hose that the Kuri-Teck hose would be better than the standard Goodyear garden hose regarding it's ability to hold its shape. Now that I know that, could you tell me how much (length) do you suggest to put on the reel? My original thought WAS 200' but, I'm re-thinking that now.
