I just read why bleach is bad for your roof (in their opinion). Clearly they don't know jack, or they do but just want to push a higher priced product. Typical anti-bleach rhetoric.
The best line in there ... bleach kills plants and shrubs... then... bleach acts as a fertilzer????

This is a constant battle for us. There is so much misinformation on the internet it is ridiculous!
People generally believe whatever they read. Look at all of the false e-mails that are forwarded everday. People think they are all true no matter how ridiculous they are. Even when I send them the link for snopes.com to check that junk before they forward it, they still don't check it!
We just have to continue to educate people the right way. Use the ARMA bulletin and show them with our cleaning methods. That is all we can do!

Yeah i know it. Just last week one home owner told me that those stains are from the nails in the roof and that it's coming through the shingles...idk where he got that from.
Pat I actually talked to this guy for that company about a year ago, because I also do pressure washing, wood cleaning, plus a few other things in the pressure washing realm but the reason I contacted them was for the wood cleaning side. This guy sent me there information package with all the pricing, I called and talked with him, he sounded like a gentlemen from the middle east or someone from india or something. It was a minimum of 20,000.00 dollar investment. He asked me what other things I did and I told him no pressure roof cleaning, when I told him I used SH as the basis for my cleaner he wanted to share with me he was a chemist and how bad it was for shingles and all this bs. I asked him if he ever cleaned a roof or tried it using SH and all he would do is try and explain how superior there product was but you still had to use low pressure to clean with.
My point is what you read on here about SH, apple cider, apple sauce that would be your more cost effective method for your roof cleaning. If you have other things you clean like wood, than look up the thread Mike Sullvian put out about wood mixes and save your money, my opinion 20,000.00 is a lot to spend when you can use what you have here to make money.
LOL.....I think they should photoshop their pics a little more carefully. Photo 3 of the blue timber siding with greyish treated pine patio Photo 4 - now the treated pine patio is blue also or maybe their product discolors timber!!
