I figure I would come here to ask? A good friend of mine, gave me a door hanger from his work and said a guy just drop it off. They go on to say they can clean the roof and also apply Roof Armor which will keep the roof clean FOREVER!!!!!!!!

So I went to the website to looking into this (cleanertoday.com).I guess what I am asking is has anyone heard or had any dealing with them, and is this something someone in my area bought into!

Don't just take my word for it. I was just giving my opinion from reading their site. Some of the pics are of metal roofs also. Maybe others will chime in but do a search on the sodium percarbonate here and you will find the threads.

I tried their product a few years ago before I found the ARMA bulletin. It's main ingredient is Sodium Hydroxide for the professional grade and sodium percarbonate (as Pat said) for the homeowner version.

My results with the contractor grade were poor at best and the fumes were ridiculous.

Their web site is very convincing if you read it. It will give you all the reasons in the world why their product is the only safe one to use. Everything else causes damage to your shingles. I can't believe that there aren't laws against that kind of misinformation.

If your competition is cleaning with that, you should have some work to do following him around biggrin
