Geez...........! Maybe my problem is that im just overpriced! Or maybe I just think my time is worth more than it is hahahah But ill be danged if im getting out of bed to work for free!

I know what a new roof costs and I dont mind making money while saving people from having to spend a ton for a new roof.

Once again,

As I stated at the beginning of this thread.........

"BELIEVE ME when I say,

"All of you, here, RIGHT NOW, on THIS forum, are SETTING THE TONE for the ENTIRE roof cleaning industry"

How you ALL handle yourselves and your bidding will DETERMINE how the CUSTOMER BASE will respond to you both NOW and in the FUTURE when there roof needs re-cleaning.

Guys, if nobody has given ya'all the FYI, this roof algae ISN'T going away, if anything it's getting WORSE."

I respect all opinions posted here. bottom line is it is YOUR business and you have to decide what is best for you and your market.

Chris, and I and others here have opinions about half roofs vs. whole roofs being properly cleaned.

I am not going to TELL you how to run your business.

These are my suggestions only.

Some of you will surpass what others have done in the past, in terms of cleaning methods and procedures and  in terms of volume of roofs cleaned.

That's Great. More Power to you.

To me, ALL of YOUR opinions matter.

That is why Chris and I FIRST spoke about starting the FIRST ROOF CLEANING ONLY message board.

Why?

So we all could VOICE our opinions and discuss our variety of viewpoints.

Truthfully, there really is no WRONG answer, IMHO.

If you are able to value my ideas and opinions and views then great, if not, that is perfectly fine as well.

I am not changing my views on the subject of choosing to primarily stick to promoting cleaning the ENTIRE roofs.

I think in terms of Quality, not Quantity.

I and others here see the logic and value of this method, others, not so much?

I have done a FEW "half roof here and there" in the past but I actually still TREAT the cleaner looking affected area "regardless" and choose to use that "treatment" as my FREEBIE or closing tool so essentially I actually apply a lesser version cleaning  or "treating agent to the entire roof surface regardless  but at a lower concentration (less chemicals) on the batch that is used on the "cleaner areas" at least that way I don't get call backs until the dirtiest surface gets re-infested by GM.

And at that point I again push the entire surface being PROPERLY cleaned and a TREATMENT applied.

This is my way and my way is just one of many here.

Who's right? Who's wrong? Who knows really?

Time will TELL?

I appreciate and try to respect all of you, most ALL of the time.

All the Best, to all of you, whatever you decide is best for you and your company.

Have a Profitable Day,

David

Will I walk away from a half roof only cleaning job no. However all my lit, advertising and verbal selling efforts focus on cleaning the whole roof and backing it with a three year warranty.  explaining the value and benefits of having the whole roof cleaned helps me steer most customers away from the question even being asked.  Recently the real estate market has warmed up for homes  priced at or below $250,000 in the Richmond area.  The customers in this price range hoping to sell thier homes are looking to do the bare min. to make the home sell ready, This type customer are the ones requesting to only half the roof cleaned. I price the sq footing on this jobs about 20% higher. I try to only schedule on a day I have only 1 or 2 small roof jobs  to clean and has aided my efforts to reach set daily income goals.  I however understand both sides of the discusion through out this post. Man I am tired and going to bed.
