1) Clean roof with Apple Cider Sauce. Let the rain rinse the roof.
2) Prime with 2 coats of Henry #107 Asphalt Emulsion. Wait 24 hours between coats.
3) 2 coats of Henry Elastomeric brilliant white roof coating.
The tools you will need are a drill with a 5 gallon mixing attachment.
Two 18 inch 3/4" nap rollers and 3 or 4 inch paint brush.
Shop towels and paint thinner.
Use one roller for tar, one for white. Throw away after using them.
Trim around vents, etc. with brush then use your 18 roller.
At first I was dipping the roller in an 18 inch paint bucket, but I soon found this way too time consuming, and I then went to a much faster pour method.
After you mix the tar or white with your drill, simply carry it up your roof and pour it in small sections and spread it around with your 18" roller.
Much faster and less clean up than using an 18 inch bucket.
Total cost around $550.
Coating your roof with a brilliant white coating saves your roof from deteriorating, saves you money (much cheaper than buying a new roof), and it is amazing how much cooler it keeps your house (greatly reducing your power bill)
My buddy Drew said my house now looks like a trailer with my new Redneck Cool Seal! LOL!
