Make sure to check the local town, city, county ordinance, before you go out and start hanging fliers, knocking on doors ect... if you get caught you could face some pretty steep fines. I file for mine at the same time I renew my business license, cost here is about $50 per person. Everyone handing out fliers should have one. The city I live in requires each person to have one but the county does not require anybody to have one. ONE BONUS I have found is that older people are more cautious to fully open their door for people who come knocking and giving them something tangible with your picture on helps open that door. Not to mention I have gotten a few jobs after they have seen the license.
