O.K.! Here is my first post. To Mobile Pro Wash in St. Louis- I am about to "Start-Up" in St. joseph, Mo. I have located about six roofs that are in high traffic areas and I intend to approach the owners about a FREE wash. I will ask them for the return favor of allowing me to put up some advertising for my service on the property. Your success with free washes has inspired me. THANK YOU!
The THANKS goes to the members of RCIA. The ideas all came from reading this forum from beginning up to today's posts.
To you PRO.'s- I have purchased a cleaning solution from a chemical supply company and will give it a try but I like your concept better. Can anyone give me some details on a delivery system? Maybe some pictures? Thank you all so much for this resource. I hope to contribute soon. Patrick
If you try a cleaning solution other than what is used here make sure you try it on a house that you can do just a small area and next to it try the Apple cider mix then compare. Then you can go back over the area without the cider mix to make it all look good. You will be using the Apple cider mix after the comparison.
There are many different delivery systems. You will have to read and make your choice of which will be better for you.

Looks good Stuart, you are all over it and that is GREAT!!! That is the power of the proper mix, application and education at work there Brother!! I bet after a few rains you didn't even have to hit those spots??
Patrick WELCOME!! The pics for delivery systems are already here, just search and read. You will find that there are electric as well as air powered delivery systems fully drawn out for you already. Both work great, the choice is yours.
Please take your time making decisions about what to build, and ask questions and post your ideas BEFORE you buy stuff and build it. This will not only make you a more active member, but also allow the pros to spot any mistakes BEFORE they are made. There are lots of little things that will fail on you if not done right, (such as bulk heads, non SH resistance materials and trailer wight capacities) but fear not just take your time and ask questions as you build. Please do read alot though. Most answers are here.
I have not used Roof Cleaner QSE, but you will see the results for yourself as others have said.
I wrote a longer post in here somewere about why you can't buy this stuff...But it is simply the Shelf life of SH is very short especially when the other ingredients are added, so they can not package it, even though it is the proven best method. REMEMBER we are not trying to sell you chemicals THEY ARE!!
Read the ARMA buelletin.. do a search for asphalt roofing manufacturers association bulletin, as well as apple cider sauce, and bare minimum rig for newbies, in the search for this forum at the top of the page.
It is from CleanerToday.com it is "Roof Cleaner QSE". Anyone used it? P.
Pat i had a customer i did about a month ago that tried to do some of his house himself with a pump sprayer using QSE the spots he did i could hardly tell the dfference from the area that was not done with QSE, i guess you get the idea the stuff s--ks.
I tried that product a few years ago. It is sodium hydroxide. It doesn't clean nearly as well as apple cider, apple sauce or apple cider sauce.
Sodium hydroxide is BAD for shingles. It actually breaks down the tar and asphalt in the shingle. Do a search for sodium hydroxide on here and you will see all of the information on it.
Sodium hydroxide is the main ingredient used to strip finish off of wood. It is serious stuff and can really damage things around a home.
The only recommended way to clean shingles by The Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association is the way we clean them here. Read the bulletin. See the light
It will cost you less and clean better.

I started out with QSE last year. I would have to say I was in kindergarden of roof cleaning. I just about fell off a roof. But now this year with about 30 roofs under my belt with the help of RCIA. I`m about in high school.
