I have tried Craigslist for the past 4 weeks. I delete my old ad and put in a new one every Monday morning. It never fails that I get 10 or 12 emails from people looking to scam me out of money for one thing or another. I am posting in the Household Services Section. Is that the best area? So far, no serious inquiries from CL.

try skilled trades area and provide your license # and put up pictures of before and after and run some specials like 10% off any 2 services combined or free gutter cleanings( just pack the price). Make sure you add free estimates people like free stuff on craigslist.

Scott, post your phone number and remove the e-mail reply option. This will stop the spammers and force potential customers to call you. That is how I stopped the email scammers on all my craigslist posts. I never had a problem with the phone calls, only valid customers or buyers call me.

Went to a BNI meeting this last week, Its a great source I feel, Realtors , apprasiers, home inspectors are all there, Pres of one of the banks..kewl, Im in for this one

as far as craiglist I have gotten one call from them, and kijiji never have gotten a call but it keeps my web site up in the rankings.. People around here think you are crazy when you mention Roof cleaning...

The thing to remember about BNI is you only get back what you put into it. What I mean by that is if you join a BNI group but do not do 1 on 1's with other members within your chapter than people with in your chapter will be hesitate to refer you. Maybe you can offer a discounted roof cleaning to a member, a good one if you have one is a real estate agent within your group or a handy man.

I have a roofer with in my chapter and he refers me peeps all the time, but I also refer him work for shingles if they need replaced on a large scale. I usually see a good return on my yearly member ship for BNI, keep in mind other net working events with in your area, get to know real estate peeps, property managers these peeps can get you business, have lunch with them and talk about what you do plus show interest in what they do. Remember givers gain works if you try.

Thanks for that insight James, Im actually doing one of the BNI members roofs tomorrow. She has a big Janitorial Business, which could be benificial, and her whole upscale hood is in pretty bad shape. Had a realtor and an Ins agent watching me spray Love on another roof this past week, were only in our 3rd week at Roof Cleaning and even though i get frustrated at times the call are trickling in
Educatiing the people is the challenge at leasat here it is
