Thanks Chris, I definetly been rinsing it so far. I would like to use this one in the shop as a transfer pump for PW chems.
I have one kynar on the way and probably will get a back up as well, perhaps a third one when I get a big enough vehicle to hold a SH holding tank for transfer.

I was thinking of using a fatbot as a water pump only as well, on the water holding tank and hooking up a rinse system top feed on valves to the other sh pumps, it will come together as I give it more thought and hear more pro ideas. I saw a 1993 23k gvw isuzu for $3,900 with a 17ft chopped from 18' flat bed and fairly low miles. Wish I could afford it now but there have been a few good deals popping up latley.

I hope my build specs and field tests are helping other members here.

Field tested apple cider sauce on full rig with new compressor this week. All went really good.
More info to follow soon as well as some pics, I am in Boston for the weekend so I may not post again until MONDAY THE 13th. Much scarier than friday the 13th especially in the end of tax season (joke) lol

Here are some pics of my half finished rig on a vehicle that is definitely getting too small.
I need to get my real hose as well as some tips, but this got us through the first paying job for the new system.

These pics are from my 2nd test house I missed a few spots but it works great as you can see, this run took about 35minutes.

LOL yeah that is my rental, We live in it.� It is actually getting a new roof, the metal is sitting in my yard.
That house actually looks a lot better today after some rain and sunshine. So here is the first payed job we did with the air system. Gotta love those 2-3 story hills here in Columbia MD.
This house was a great challenge for any noob sprayer.� It was aluminum siding with a large slope on the rear.� That small section of roof is in the rear of the house.
Had to power wash that big wall by building a step and using a 36' ladder.� I was able to shoot that rear panel from the side near it.

IT works!!!

My 3/8 kynar pump works!! I will have flow tests tommorow when I use it in the field. It needs an air shutoff valve (try it if you don't have one IT ROCKS).

As I said it would... biggrin (oh certified roof cleaner of little faith, LOL)

Based on flow and air supply, this should mathematically and theoretically be the PERFECT PUMP for your roof cleaning agent delivery system.

It SHOULD work AWESOME?

Please Post flow rates and build just a 3/4" ball valve and a nozzle setup. You should shoot 30' foot with a 0050 or 0060, maybe farther?

Remember to do the bucket and timer test to do max flow with and w/o the nozzle.

Great post! Thanks for sharing. Did you find any evaporation issues with the 90% Iso. We are in similar climates and I would like to pass back and forth info to help each other . I have yet to try the 90% with my mix as I have not yet burned through my 70% supply. Thanks again for the post.

Hi Scott,
Actually I have not used the 70% yet. I think I will try buying some 70%...ohh wait I have some in the bathroom lol. I think I will try them side by side outside to see if there is a difference. I will let you know the results in a couple days. We use such a small amount I kinda doubt it will be a huge difference but there might be so we will see.

This thread is very informative as far as getting set up and the process all of us new roof cleaners are going through.

Im am currently using a delevan 5850 and had about decided to buy a second one for backup. BUT i have been curious about the air powered setups... I actually have two wheelbarrow style compressors and i will be checking the numbers on both of them. One is an older honda that we have used for years framing houses the other is a Titan Industrial(does anyone know about these?) that we picked up at an auction still in its wrapper.

Im off to research and see where this goes.

That will deffinetly get you started, I keep my tank empty as I am in a van as well, and I rinse my van out after every job. I carry SH in 5 gallon totes as well as make my initial mix at home in the tank. I try to use it all, if any is left I use it locally (discounted or charity) to get it out of the van. If you have any drain holes in your van bed, I highly suggest filling them with JB weld. If SH is going under the bed it may be rotting break lines or frame supports.

Hi Scott,
I have tested both alcohols on the same job yesterday and did not see any significant difference between the 91% and 70% isp. I think using the 91% is about the same as adding a little more 70%, hope this helps. I will probably stick with the 91% in hope that it penetrates a little better.

I am glad this info helps, that was the idea. I will be posting more as the build grows and further tests are performed. I never heard of that titan, but give it a shot. My biggest suggestion to you would be to set the air compressor as far away from your chemical tank as possible. It will suck up chlorine gas in a rig like mine, drastically reducing it's operating life. Also use a vapor catch before the pump to prolong it's life as well. 2 vapor catches will be even better, one right off the compressor and one right befor the pump. Also bigger air hose is better, just like the spray hose. These pumps are fragile!! I already broke the muffler on one when it fell off my van, if you can find a place to mount it, that should help, mine is not mounted as I am out of room.

Yes, I do have to watch the undissolved stuff. Mixing with warm water will help.

That would be a Dewalt 8 gallon 9 cfm 5.5hp Torpedo. (Model D55270) Only problem is the Chlorine gas the Air compressor is consuming.

Hi guys.
I bought a pickup with tow package rated @7600lb tow capacity.
Now I need a trailer and I was wondering if I should get a dual axle??
Any thoughts on this??

Plan to carry 1 55gal drum SH 550lbs 160lb air compresser, hose reels, pumps and tarps.
The 250 or so mixing tank can wiegh up to 2200lbs full.

Looks like a total of 3400lbs max carried
