Consider that phrase STOLEN! I am using that on everything from now on. I'll send your royalties each month.biggrin

I have been checking my mailbox lately but still no royalty check, Kevin?

Have you incorporated my "Roof Cleaning Doesn't COST, it PAYS!"

If so, time to open that checkbook and start writing....biggrin

Just Kidding. Hope all is well Kevin and Business is starting to pick up in your neck of the woods.

Have a Profitable Day!

How about one that I found for my wife to use on her endeavors...

Big enough to handle your needs, small enough to know your name.

Nothing to do with roof cleaning but it might work as a closing phrase.

Just thought of another couple of things.

"Your house cleaned from the top down"

How about a yard sign...... Another roof saved by XXXXXXXXXXXXXX drive by again and watch the magic happen.

Listening to the radio while driving around and heard a catch phrase and changed it to suit our needs.

"Asking a roofing contractor if your roof needs to be replaced is like asking a fast food restaurant for dieting advice. Contact your local RCIA contractor for cleaning advice instead."

Man I hate those tyops ooops typos.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I am adding roof cleaning to my repair and remodeling business. A client wanted me to clean his roof, and told me about a friend he had that did it all the time, so he got some pool chemicals from Wal-Mart. I mixed it up, sprayed it on his roof with a pump up sprayer, waited about 15 minutes, rinsed it off and WHALLA, it didn't look any different. He called his friend back, told him, and he said he had to get some shock because it was stronger. So I went through the process again.........same results (or lack there of). That is when I found this site. You all are incredible!!!!! I have been reading nearly nonstop (until my eyes cross from looking at the monitor so long and I have to take a break). I have all the parts rounded up I need to put together a spray rig, and can't wait to try it out.

I just show a few before and after photos on my flyers, place my company name (The Roof Cleaners) in huge letters above the pictures and then write, "It's Cheaper To Clean Than Replace!"

Simple and effective. If it's too much for people to read, they won't read it!

How big are your flyers, and where to you believe you have gotten the best results with them?

I use a few different flyers, but currently I am using a 6"x11" double sided postcard. I have two different approaches to distributing flyers. My area has a lot of high dollar neighborhoods ($400,000 to $500,000 homes) that are completely covered with black on their shingles. When the areas are close to my location, I will personally place flyers in their mailboxes.

When I come across an area that is not practical to hand deliver flyers, I will use Sales Genie to pull my mailing lists. With Sales Genie you can put in all of your own criteria. You can specifically target higher dollar homes that are over 10 years old in specific zip codes. You can even pick out people that subscribe to different home and garden magazines. They are the people that seem to care the most about the appearance of their homes.

I obtained a postage permit so when I do a bulk mailing, the postage is about 40% less. Mailers can be expensive so I look for any way to cut costs and target the right people.

The return on my investment seems to be the highest using these methods of advertising. Obviously, the hand delivered postcard is the best return on investment, but you don't always have the time to do that.

I have never tried door hangers. They are my next method to try. People have to look at them even if they are going to throw it away. They have to get it off of their door knob.

I think you chose a great catch phrase Dan. This is Danny Spiczenski. I saw your commercial on youtube. I am looking forward to talking to you here in a few weeks. I see tremendous potential in the roof cleaning industry and looking forward to starting my business venture.
