Hello everyone! I am glad to have the opportunity to be on this forum and learn how to do this right. It is good to find a place where real info is shared by the pros. I am starting out and want to do this cleaning/power washing ina professional manner-too many people out there working for beer money that really don't know what they are doing.Hope you guys tolerate my many qestions. Thanks, Mike Chellis
I'm new to this business and very excited to know there is a place to go for training and certification. Several years ago when I first started thinking about a business in cleaning roofs I had no idea that there were pioneers already blazing the trail. Thanks to Al and Chris for answering all my questions when I called them and for pointing me to RCIA....I don't have to 'reinvent the wheel' on roof cleaning. I'll see you guys in Tampa.
Hey Guys, I started out with the usual dumb questions and have found the answer to all of them on here just by doing searches-this forum is great and I really appreciate the professionals on here who are willing to share their techniques, recipes, ect. I have also been able to identify some mistakes I've been making -this has helped me alot-still waiting for my All-Flo which is on back order, so I can assemble my rig. Trailer pick-up is Monday, meanwhile I am looking for new jobs. Thanks again, and I look forward to my certification in due time.
Thanks so much for offering this certification! I have learned sooo much in about 15 minutes. Looking forward to learning and communicating with fellow members. Hoping to get to 100! Will take awhile but it gives me more time to learn and have a quality service! I am excited to get started! The $100 is a minimal cost and not mandatory. It's well worth the amount of knowledge I will obtain.

Thought it might be appropriate to make my 100th post in the certification area. I don't know if I have read everything on this site but I have to be close to it. It's almost hard to believe that a person could come here and learn a whole new trade for FREE!! I cleaned some roofs about 2 years ago but now I am pretty sure I can do it way faster and do a better job. I'm stoked about getting out there and doing it. Luckily my PW biz is at a point where I can focus on growing this part of my company now. I'm looking forward to attending all of AC's classes in Charleston to learn more. THANKS RCIA!!

Chris, It looks like the Student and Apprentice are mixed up here in your breakdown compared to how the form is labeling users...
Glad to be part of an educated team of professionals. Looking forward to learning as much as I can about roof cleaning. Very interested in becoming Certified in the State of Virginia and possibly the only one in the city of Charlottesville!

RCIA CERTIFICATION
Sunday March 13, 2011
There have been many Premium members that have been waiting for the new RCIA certification process to be released. It has taken a lot of time, work, and effort over the past few months, but I am proud to say the RCIA now has a new Certification in place. We will start certifying members as of April 1, 2011. Thank You for all your support here at the RCIA, and for our certification program.
Here is the new RCIA Certification Process
Anyone that would like to become certified by the RCIA Must first become a PREMIUM Member. (Membership is $100 per year)
Any member that would like to become certified must have a minimum of 100 valid posts on the RCIA forum.
You must then contact Gary W. and Pay $150. This is the Certification FEE.
There are 2 parts to the Certification Test. There is an online test, and a verbal or in person test.
You will be required to attend the certification Webinar/s (cost already included in Cert. FEE.)
After attending the Webinar/s, you will take a 50 question online test (Passing Grade is 75% or higher)
If you fail the online test you must wait 48hrs. Before taking the test again.
If you pass the online test you will need to contact Gary W. to schedule your Verbal Test.
The verbal or in person portion of the test will be completed with a Master Roof Cleaning Instructor.
There is a $50 verbal/in person test fee that will be paid Directly to the instructor.
The Master Roof Cleaning Instructors will be picked by Chris Tucker.
If you fail the Verbal test you will have to wait 1 week before you can retake the test. There is a $25.00 re-test fee payable to the instructor.
If you pass the verbal test you will then be added to the Elite RCIA Certified List. Any presently certified member will be grand-fathered from taking the verbal/in person test, but must pay and sucessfully complete the online tests. This will ensure everyone, new or old, has completed the same requirements for certificatiion.
