I get the equations, but I'm looking into the nozzles. The nozzle sizes really confuse me. Do you think you could post a link to a #40 nozzle for me so I can look at it?

Sweet...I called our local Chemical Supply store and they didn't know what i was talking about..lol But they they don't know much thats for sure. I had to explain it to them and they said they do have the tips and they are $7 they make me so frustrated. They sell 55 gal of 12%sh for $145.00

They also told me that they have heard of people using bleach on roofs but it's way to risky...the bleach will curl the shingles...

I have been doing roofs for going on 5 years and have never seen a shingle curl because of using SH. I have seen someone use a pressure washing on a roof, in a area I have been cleaning and seen some really bad shingle damage due to being pressure washed. Never for SH though confuse

A lot of the products you get online say that bleach will curl the shingles. Its nothing more than marketing to sell their products. Unfortunately a lot of people have heard this and take it as gospel.

For those who don't know, send them to ARMA's website. they recommend a bleach/TSP solution as the ONLY safe way to clean a roof.

Mike the Fatboy Devlan is in and op checked, works really well. I will be doing some roofs on Thursday and will see how it does, plus all the plumbing is 3/4 pvc now, seems to push really well.

Sweet! I did too. I finally installed my FATBOY last weekend. It is a BEAST!

I tried all kinds of nozzles to see which ones I liked the best with my 3/4" hose and 3/4" PVC ball valve.

All three sizes 0050, 0060, & 0070 shoot plenty far.

It has so much more power than the 5800 5gpm pump it doesn't seem to care what size nozzles you put on it and there's little difference between the three nozzles. I did try the 0040 to see what it would do, and I could tell it was too small, losing a considerable amount of gpms.

Play around with the different sizes to see which ones you like the best.

I will probably use the 0060 the most.

0050 seems to shoot the farthest and 0070 gives me the best flow.

0060 is in the middle, good flow and good distance.

Mike did you adjust the Devlan Fatboy or just out of the box hook it up and use it, just wondering. I know my 5800 I had adjusted it slightly for a little more PSI, just wondering.

No adjustments.

I did crank down a couple of turns with my allen wrench on the 5800 like you did too but not the FATBOY. I have heard it runs great without touching it. They were right.

The technology and power of this new 12V pump is amazing, it's almost as strong as two 5800's plumbed together. Which is what I was using the last two years and a couple of months at the beginning of this year.

The FATBOY is the DADDY! It's GREAT!!!

Cool Mike thanks for the heads up with that, today I had a flat roof easy to walk and do but a lot of wind. Tomorrow I have a very High arch roof that I will be shooting standing on a ladder so I am eager to see how it does with that, plus there should be very little wind tomorrow also, thanks again.

�Have you had an issue with the relay switch? I burned up 2-3 of them at first and it burst 2 of my hoses because the auto shut off wouldnt� engage.

I finally realized I had to open and close my ball valve completely. I could not open it halfway to lessen the flow.

had that issue yet?

What size hose, gun, and nozzles are you using?

Mine are 3/4" hose, 3/4" PVC ball valve, #50,60,70 nozzles.

I haven't tried closing down the ball valve to lessen the flow yet.

We use 1/2" everything w/ the same nozzles. What happens is everytime the pressure switch engages it flips that relay switch. So when the pressure back up a little from the restricted flow, it backs up quickly and flips that relay like 5 times per second and after 10-15 seconds burns out. Havent had any problems since I realized that though.

Scott just some advice get rid of the 1/2 hose, I was using 5/8 hose with my old Delvan 5800 pump for the last 2 years, I initially had 1/2 hose with a surflo pump and once I talk with chris tucker a few years ago about the delvan pump and moved up to a 5/8 hose what a huge difference and I used the same pump for 2 years. The pump actually still works fine, I just wanted more distance so I went to the fatboy. I still run a 5/8 hose with 3/4 ball valve, but all of my plumbing from the tank to the fatboy is all 3/4 pvc and a 3 way 3/4 ball valve, then to 200ft of 5/8 hose. I plan on trying the 3/4 hose next week like Mike suggested since everything else is 3/4 but the 1/2 hose your running is your problem.

It wouldnt matter. If the ball valve is only partially open, it will still build back pressure and engage the pressure switch which would flip the relay switch and burn it out.

The 1/2" work great.
