well the house wash is either downstreamed or x jetted on the surface.

Roof mix is applied with high volume low pressure using the set ups that are listed on the forum

I am definitely a newbie.  I have seen the website for Roof Reviver and for Spray and Forget.  Can any of you veterans educate me on what these chemicals are?

i am not a veteran by any means but this is from the spray and forget website
"Q:  How long will it take for roof stains to disappear using the “no rinse” application method?
A: The stains will disappear in 6-9 months, on average, using 9 gallons water to one gallon of Spray & Forget mixture.  A stronger concentration can be used to expedite the process.  For example, a 5:1 mix will remove the stains in about 3-6 months on average.  The removal time is also dependent on rainfall and the severity of the infestation."
With LOVE I saw the first part of the roof i sprayed without steaks by the time i was getting down from the ladder. So i am not sure why you are interested in what Chemicals are in this stuff. Yeah it will work eventually. With LOVE you see results immediately and it continues to work as well. my 2 cents

Do a search for spray and forget and you will find a thread started by Kipp in Bowling Green, KY. He just did a roof last week that the home owner used spray and forget on 5 weeks prior to him cleaning the same roof.

Univar cut me off. :(

They will no longer sell me chemicals without a CDL and Hazmat certifications.

I am now buying from a middleman company called Water Tech who orders from Brenntag.

Good news is they deliver to my house and their 12.5% bleach is way stronger than Univars.

I am now cutting my bleach down to 33% and getting great results.

Weird, it's labeled the same- 12.5% sodium hypochlorite and I can tell a big difference in the strength coming from the different supplier.

The company that I buy my shc from has 2 different suppliers. I can personally tell the difference between the 2. Not sure why they use 2 suppliers, maybe because of the demand they have for shc. Both CoA's state 12.5% but I firmly believe this is incorrect. One cleans and sanitizes swimming pools better than the other. I only try and get my 12.5% from one of the 2 big tanks they have there.

I tested several of these roof cleaning chemicals prior to Apple Cider.  None of them gave the results you get with Apple Cider Sauce.  I did have some success with M1 Roof Cleaner from JOMAPS.  The problem was you needed to rinse and rinse and rinse to get results.  I still use JOMAPS  product for siding, gutters, and walkways.

I used to use the M-1 for Shingle Roof Cleaning and found the same results. Lots and Lots of rinsing. I still use it too but just for Pressure Washing of Wood Fences, Wood Decks etc...

Is there a substitute for TPS besides Borax.  I cann't find TPS in Maryland and have been using  Borax with the same problems of the time it takes to dilute in hot water.

They don't really use Borax as a substitute for TSP. The Borax is used to enhance the cleaning mix a little and to help keep the roof clean longer by leaving a slight film on the roof that makes it a hostile environment for Algae to grow in.

Your best bet would be to use Apple Cider. Most guys that live in states where TSP is illegal use this formula.

Has anyone used TSP PF (Phosphate Free)?  It was the only thing available at a local home improvement store.  Doesn't matter for me since I can still get regular TSP at Lowes.  Just wondering if the PF means anything to us.

Never used... Funny, I was in HD today and I saw a ton of liquid TSP substitute in there.
