It sounds like with this product we are bypassing the use of tsp and dawn for asphalt shingles. What about the alcohol ? Is it still needed and/or is it safe to mix the two products?

yes we are still using alcohol it post above a ways up Andy
wow that's funny just don't ask for it at a gentlemen's club as far as mixing it with a drill that probably overkill since the entire mix is liquids now no powder just dump and stir you wont get a big foam mess this way

WOW! Ammonyx lo can replace the TSP too?! Sounds too good to be true! I can't wait to give it shot! I vote we abbreviate it though. How about ALO or AMLO?

I thought the TSP was in the mix to help prevent "regrowth." Allowing us to give a two year warranty... Will the Ammonyx Lo do that?
ROTFLMAO, not AT you, but WITH you! TSP is a freaking fertilizer! Yep, a very potent one too. It is used as a cleaning enhancer, but it will certainly not prevent re growth, unless used with Borax in the Apple Sauce formula.
Oops, I think I did get it mixed up in my head with the Borax.
Thanks for straightening my out...
No problem, we are currently using the Amonyx LO called the "Billy Bob"
with chlorine/water We carry rubbing alcohol, and add it only for the worst roofs. We also carry Sodium Hydroxide and TSP, just in case we run into a filthy tile roof. But most of the time, it is just Amonyx LO we are using in our mix.

Chris .. in what ratio do you use the Sodium Hydroxide
Thank u R.C.I.A. for this forum. I've noticed some pics of some of the roof cleaners on this site are standing at the peak of the roof spraying down to the egde it appears that the LOVE is going to leave streaks on the roof ? should you spray from the edge to the peak to prevent steaking?.......thank u for the response.
Not sure exactly what you're talking about but if the black streaks turn brown, a good rain will take care of them (or some roof cleaners rinse). If the streaks are still black after a few minutes, hit them again with the LOVE.
Can someone set me straight about Apple Cider, Apple Sauce, and Apple Cider Sauce? I know all the ingredients such as SH, H2o, Alcohol, TSP, Borax, Dove and so forth, but which combination belongs with each name? And yes I have been reading, reading, and reading. It seams like everyone has there on concoction and trying to keep it all straight in my head is getting a little confusing. Thanks for all the help. Great Forum...

Bill, I'll trade you this information for that roof cleaning truck in your avatar (It's the perfect color blue).
In most cleaning situations, you'd be right to start at the edge (more typicaly from the bottom) to prevent streaking but, since our chemical kills the nasties so thoroughly, it really isn't necessary. In fact, because we start at the top, we can use less chemical.
Hope I answered your question.
