ok so here is a nice small scale test. what size hose are you all useing and how long is the normal distance you need? then take a big PVC pipe and cap one end and put a filling port on the other end and a valve for air and pump away. PVC can hold alot of pressure. "Is PVC stable in Ch"? see how much pressure is needed to get the same flow as a pump. Right?

I think the theory would work. When we talked about this last year I did a little looking around, and the best solution I found would be a glass lined aluminum tank or a hastelloy or hastelloy c-276 tank with a hastelloy spring pressure release gauge. I cannot afford to test this system, but would be happy to if someone wants to set me up with the components. One day when RCIA gets past it's growing pains we may be able to aquire a grant to test this or commission a test facility for their research. I do see problems with a glass lined tank on the road so the metal tank would be the way to go. I found a used one for about 10k and have actually worked on one at Grace chemical testing facility last winter. They like to test things like hot and cold catalyst systems that could explode lol.

You got that right Chris. The project we worked on cost about 300k and they were taking super heated and super cold chemicals and slamming them together to test a new catalyst. (they already had two failed attempts before this one) I was not there when they turned it on. I just put Foam glass on it. It's this very hard brittle insulation for super cold that smells like rotten eggs when you cut it and requires a wood saw to cut it. It is used on stuff that gets so cold it creates big ice blocks from the moisture in the air if air touches it. Similar to poly insulation used on refrigerant pipes but more bad azz. You have to fill that stuff with foam if there are gaps and glue all the seems than add a vapor barrier. Lot's of money for something they run for 10 minutes than tear apart again to see what it did, lol.
