Some new pictures ,this is a medical complex i started, they wanted to have the front two buildings done first ,then and hopefully the other 12, plus they own about 4 more medical complex's . the big thing that sold them is the demo i did , if you look at the picture that has a clean spot on it , i did that about 2 weeks ago. The guy in charge says i LOVE that miracle you do to the roofs

Whenever you have plants in the drip line with no gutters always water them heavily and the ground around them. Then tarp them. Next I clean then roof and finish it with a good rinse. Afterwards remove the tarps and water the plants and the ground around them again.
By watering the plants and the ground around them 1st you allow the plants to absorb water instead of chemicals.
By watering the plants and the ground around them after removing the tarps you cool the plants off and remove any of the love that might drop on them. It also helps dilute any love that might be close to the roots.
I too have been burnt by rains a week after cleaning a roof.

YES ! Dry ground around plants is to be avoided at all costs1 Unlike humans, plants only drink when they are thirsty. They can not tell the difference between poison, or water. WET them down real good, and water the ground around them very well FIRST before roof cleaning. Keep them wet as the chemicals run onto them, until it stops dripping. IF you want to rinse, wait an hour before doing so. This gives the chemical TIME to kill all the Algae completely. This will ensure the longest lasting roof cleaning.
When rinsing, do one side at a time, and rinse like hell. When "done" rinsing, be sure and FLOOD the root zone of ALL plants in the drp line of the chemical.' Grass is a plant too ! This flooding makes SURE all the fresh chemical is washed BELOW the root line of the plants.
Ok Guys, adding some pics of a roof I had to clean back in April. Not exactly the same ROOF CLEANING we are talking about here on this site, but thought some might find it interesting. I used 500' of 3/4" non kink commercial hose, and water straight from the tap. No need for the LOVE here. It was tough to handle that much hose at first, but I found that wrapping the hose around your shoulders like you would hold a large snake worked great. The customer wanted a clean roof at the time of the key turn over. The roof had construction dirt on it, and needed to be washed down. I was asked to do this at the last minute before key turn over. It took 28 hrs. over a 3 day period to complete. It was 500'x600' The first few pics show the size of the roof. The last one shows the In process cleaning.
This is the most amazing place to be able to pick the brains of the best in the business and make sure that my customers are served well.
I hope that as I learn and clean, I will be able to help promote the cause so that every homeowner in this nation knows that one of the best things they can do to protect their investment is to regularly clean their roofs using roof cleaners Certified by The Roof Cleaning Institute of America.

Had two good weeks in a row.. 6 jobs last week. Yes , there is Hope...
Then again "Please get off the sea saw slowly."
Here are some front pics of a house I did Friday... Wasn't to bad except had to touch up the front twice... Pre watered and covered all bushes. Had to work fast because the sun was hot and I didn't want to bake my foliage... All was well at the end of the day...
Hadn't much felt like volunteering for anything lately but this weekend I went and helped out at the Rainbow Center. A facility that helps kids with incarcerated parents... Felt great to be back in my almost normal benevolent mode...
Ohh and while I was up front in my world of roof cleaning, I heard this screeeech. I looked around and a hawk had come out of the trees and in mid flight caught a rice bird. The picture shows the hawk waitng for his final death blow on the ground. I went and got my camera and clicked off a couple of pics. I must have scared the hawk because he flew off and left its prey. The rice bird headed for the trees to fly another day...
I have got to get a 35mm digital camera or a good Olympus...Either way faster!
Guys, I have to say and I do not know about anyone else... I live and die by Sur Flo Pumps, 100 PSI The are inexpensive, durable and last if you purge with water about twice a week. Just like your car if you take care of it it will last...
Here is a recent roof cleaning job in Greensboro, NC.
This job took 50 gallons of Apple Cider Sauce to clean. The main top section of the roof came clean on the first coat with only a couple of streaks needing a second coat.
The roof above the garage was especially stubborn and needed three coats (waiting 10-15 minutes in between coats) to come clean.
