I was hoping to get some feedback in regards to marketing. What works and what does not. How much of your business do you get from online marketing- website, google seo, etc? How about door hangers and yard signs while working on a job in the neighborhood? Do postcard mailing work for you? Any success stories and feedback is greatly appreciated.
I do a good amount of marketing on Facebook. Here is something that works for me. I put the latest job I complete and tag it with the location name and the project I did. SEO is also very effecting. PM me if you need any help!
I attended a seminar last night on how to effectively work a trade show. It was very informative. I plan on attending a trade show this year and we'll see how well it pays off.
Paying someone to do SEO to get your website and local listing ranked in Google is the best return on investment when it comes to marketing IMO. This just means that if someone in your area is searching for a roofing company in Google, your company should be at the top of the search results. Make sure you make an agreement with whoever you hire to do your SEO work that includes 100% money back guarantee if your map listing and your website are not ranked in the top 3 in Google within 3-4 months. The ONLY reason you would pay someone to do SEO work for you would be to get ranked so if they don't get you ranked, they shouldn't be paid. You can also use Google Adwords in the meantime while you're getting your website ranked.
SEO and word of mouth have been working wonders for me. I took a course on SEO its not hard just tedious and you have to stay on top of it O and tools are neccesarry for success with SEO. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. Tools like Semrush or Moz.

After over 25 years in the roof cleaning business here in the Tampa Florida area, much of our work comes from past customers, or word of mouth referrals. We do a large amount of high end homes, and many have tile roofs that need cleaning. Of course, Tile Roofs are much harder to clean and they take much more chemical than shingle roofs do, but you charge accordingly.
