As a military family, we get a list every year of restaurants and retail outlets that are offering specials to active military and veterans on Veterans Day. If you have served in the military, I would recommend using them. We enjoyed a couple of nice free meals last year and plan to do again on Monday.

One important note, I would suggest contacting the establishment beforehand to make sure their location is honoring the offer, and also to find out if there are any restrictions. (e.g., some are active duty only.)
