I am single, so this question will not effect me either way, but I do remember hearing some State Jobs automatically give preference to Women Owned Businesses ?
We do very little Commercial Roof Cleaning, but if someone was actively seeking this kind of work, would it be better to have a "Woman Owned" business ?
Back when we (wife & I) owned the photo lab, she was 51% owner & I was 49%. This enabled us to get on the Government contractor list for photography and film processing. That increased our bottom line by over $100K a year.
Is she a minority, I mean did u meet her in Viet Nam ?

NO, full blooded country girl from Ky. Government pays special attention to female owned business over others.
If it's a federal contract with federal money it's mandated that a certain percentage of the monies and the work be dedicated to my minority contractors. The minority contractor can then turn around and sub out the work to any contractor that'll come in under their price we see it a lot here in Florida with roadwork
