Anyone here had any luck with placing roof cleaning ads on Craigslist ?
I have ads running on there, just because they are free, but I can not remember anyone ever saying they found us on Craigslist. Plus, local competitors will flag your ads, at least they do here in Tampa.
I am religious about asking how my customers found me, and I have yet to hear anyone say it was on Craigslist. Most of our customers are from repeat business, after nearly 20 years of doing this anyway.
Curious to hear about peoples experiences with Craigslist Roof Cleaning ads, in their area.
I have ran them, not much return on them. I average 2 jobs a year from craigslist. But, it does help in getting your name in front of people
Yeah, and it is Free
So why not put an ad there, it can't hurt a new roof cleaning company. Just do not hold your breath, and expect to set the world on fire with a Craigslist Roof Cleaning Ad.
I think any new roof cleaner needs to be on EVERY Free Ad site there is. Merchant Circle, Show Me Local, Thumbtack, are just a few.
Todate my experience has been terrible I have had people respond asking me to clean their apartments clean the windows, etc., I finally pulled both ads off good luck I hope you do better than I did.
I guess the old saying applies there's nothing for free.

If you have a website, you may want to fill out your signature, I will help you if you dont know how. Here is our Craigslist Roof Cleaning Ad http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/hss/4107682754.html for what it is worth.
I have ran a few ads in the past but can remember only one call from it a few years ago from guy that wanted a 20 section of gutters cleaned and thought $125 was to much!!

When competition is thick prices fall and you have to resort to advertising for customers that you would normally not do. ie Craigslist Roof Cleaning Ads I am glad to say that I have not had to resort to that advertising avenue yet.
We have used Clipper Magazine and Consumers Eye the last few years, it's a magazine type mailer which seems to have a longer shelf life on the homeowners coffee table. We spend on average about 6K a month, it's a lot but we stay busy and it's a short season. I think it's important to stay in the consumers face on a monthly basis in the same place that way they know where to find you when they need you. Before that we were in the same mailer for ten years and only left when the company went out of business after an ugly divorce. Doesn't anyone believe in Pre-nups anymore??

LOL, go through a Divorce once, and you will come to believe in Pre Nuptial Agreements.
I like the Clipper Magazine, and you are correct, these coupon magazines have a longer shelf life, because of all the food coupons.
