Just wondering if you used a cheap pressure washer to spray the roofs instead of the pumps we normally use. The flow would be less but the pressure would be way better for reaching the high spots on roofs. If the washer was flushed out well after each use how long would it last.

LOL, it will last about as long as it takes you to drink a 6 pack of Irish Beer!
Chris is right. I tried it years ago on a tile roof. Oh yes, we got the roof cleaned. 2 days later while using my pressure washer my pump went bye bye. The roof we did was $550.00. The new pump was $700.00. Minus materials, labor and fuel and I was in the hole for almost $225.00. The math didnt work too good on that job.

Build a system like mine (see post below) and your problem will be solved
Electric pressure washers are best for small jobs - washing cars, decks, etc. I bought a gas-powered pressure washer from Lowe's - a TroyBilt. I have used it quite a bit and love it. It has great power and will clean concrete fast. If you are short on cash, the electric is OK.

NEVER, EVER, run roof cleaning chemicals through a Pressure Washer! Even if you try to downstream the chemicals, they will not clean a roof.
To clean roofs professionally, you need a dedicated roof cleaning pump.
If you plan to use your power washer for lights tasks I would suggest that you purchase an electric pressure washer as it will have plenty of power and which be much cheaper and easier to maintain then a gas powered washer.
