The very best way to get business is by word of mouth. This takes about 5 years of being in the roof cleaning business, before it starts happening for you.
I just wrote nearly 2,000.00 of new tile roof cleaning business, from referrals. One customer said "Hello Chris, you cleaned one of my ex teammates tile roof, and I am a Tampa Bay Buccaneer.I need my tile roof cleaned"
I am a big time football nut, and enjoy cleaning the roofs of pro football players!
Over 20 years in the roof cleaning business has given us a huge customer base that you guys will also get, if you just hang around long enough for it to happen.
I hear that. I did a roof last year and the neighbor just called me to do his. He wanted to give it a year to see if the cleaning holds up. The other week I did a roof. The following week the HO forwarded my brochure to her neighbor and I got myself another job!

Same thing happened to us this year. Last year we did a roof and our customer seeing his neighbor curiously watching the job suggested he ought to have his done too. The smart alec skeptical neighbor (lawyer) asked us a few questions and then said yah maybe , lets see how this one turns out first. Seeing is believing and early this season he called and asked if we would clean his roof and the rest of the house too.
I agree 100% ... That's why it's vital that your initial customers and prices are at least close to what you anticipate doing 5 years down the road. Year 1, if you're doing middle unit townhomes at $195 a pop, guess what you're gonna be doing in 5 years!

I hear ya Mike. 'Half Price Harry" is STILL low balling around here. Why anyone would want to go far below market value is beyond me. Lack of business acumen I suppose....

Agreed, you will reap, exactly what you sow. Let someone else have the low price cheap ass roof cleaning customers, those are not the kinds of customers you want anyway.

Funny you use those words cause "no business acumen" has come out of my mouth 5x this week alone. So many service professionals don't call back, answer phones, show up to appts, etc. Why they don't hire help us beyond me, but I'm not complaining!
