Hey everyone on the fourm I was wondering has anyone rigged up a mechaical mixing system where you can attach the mixer to the top hole of the tank I have a 125 gal tank , and just turn it on for awhile the night before or morning of to throughly mix borax and tsp , I have only done 20 roofs so far , I have been mixing the tsp the night before in hot water and it desolves fairly easy in 5 gal buckets12 lbs for 100 gal mix , then when I get to the job I was mixing the borax , what I saw was the borax a couple inches thick in the bottom of the tank, tried to mix with a six ft pole to move it arround did not help much still there, its so hard to mix by hand in the big tank 125 gal I start with 20-25gal of water , so my question is has anyone rigged up a mechanical mixer , that you dont have to hold by hand , and can you mix tsp and borax the night before together or wait till the job to mix the borax , I want to do the best for my coustomers if using borax will make the roof stay clean longer I want to use it , I searched the fourm first I could not find the answer , thank you all I hope this is not to dumb of a question for all you experinced guys Thanks Again Steve "Dabber"
Not one time in my 13 yrs of doing this have I ever used any type of powder in my mix.I have heard of too many nightmare stories of clumping on the bottom, clogging hoses and pumps etc...I'm a liquid guy.

hOT OR WARM WATER will greatly aid the breakdown, especially if you simply soak it overnight. The Borax is only in the AppleSauce to help keep the roof clean for a longer period of time, like here in Tampa Florida. It is not really needed for up north.
As for the TSP, no liquid surfactant can equal TSP in sheer cleaning power, though liquid surfactants are a lot easier to use.
Thanks Gary for the reply , that is what I have been doing but it just does not mix it up enough , its an air diaphram pump works great but in the 125 gal tank it just doesent mix well, I even move the hose arround while pumping in the tank to , I am going to try to desolve the TSP and the Borax at the same time using hot water, the night before see how that works , Thanks Again Steve (DABBER) )
Thanks Larry I might have to go that way myself, it makes more sense to use liquid, Im new to low pressure cleanning but not to the bis I have been in cleanning and painting for 35 years , the reason I am using tsp and borax is for the bioside properties, studying the fourm I have heard s, Chris say that in his experence he has seen that the borax treated roofs last longer, so I was just trying to do the best for the coustomer, I have allways got more work from doing the best longest lasting jobs , but I still have so much to learn about the mixes I have just been using apple sauce and apple cider as my first basic mix and it has done well, I also like keeping the 50-60 gal mix arround $50 and borax and tsp are pretty cheap borax I get from wall mart Thank you for answering me and I might be all liquid soon too Steve (Dabber)
Thanks Brian for the reply , I might be all liquid soon myself , if you see in my other posts, I was only trying to do the best for the coutomer, and make there roof stay clean longer, was the only reason for tsp and borax Thanks for your help Steve (Dabber)

Use a regurgitating pump! so it self mixes! Just keep the valve shut off to your gun hose until it's ready!
