truck liner/ bed liner question

has anyone found a reliable spray on bedliner product that actually works? I want to spray our box truck before we put it back together for the season... I called about rino liner or line x liners. and they want anywhere from $1100 to $1500 to spray the floor and 3 feet up the walls... that just seems extremely over priced to me... there's a few products at the pep boys, but i dont want to do it myself and then have it all fall to shit 2 months in lol..

Thanks in advance

This stuff says its chemical resistant... z-gallon-kit-duplicolor_99984809-p#fragment-1" target="_blank" title="Click here">Click here

Go to Walmart or K-mart and buy the "flex-Seal in a spray can. Its the stuff you see on TV where they cut the bottom out of a boat and installed a screen door and sprayed it with this stuff and then went boating. I used it on my trailer steel last year and it is holding up fine. Very easy to repair any places that get scratched or worn. Just keep a couple cans in your toolbox.

Talk to the manager and get case price. Still cheaper than what you've been pricing. Holding up so far. Buy a can and run some tests for yourself

Eric, suggest you spray the tank of your new compressor with that stuff Gary suggests, to protect it from Chlorine.

If you can't paint very well, maybe one of the RCIA members can help you ? Painting is a skill not many are good at (especially me).

Eric the Herculiner in a gallon can, did you use it on wood or the trucks bed? I used the herculiner on the wood floor and about 3 feet up the sides of my trailer, two coats three years ago no problems as strong as the first year. I look under the frame all the time no leaks...hanging tuff!

I am in the process of building a new 14' steel trailer and I had the entire trailer sprayed with Rhino Liner for $1500.  That includes top, bottom, wheel well, leaf springs, sides, rails, everything but the bull dog hitch.  Shop around as prices vary.  Small chunk of change in the face of having to rebuild a trailer after 5 years of action due to corrosion.

Just glue down some rubber roofing, a 10x50 foot roll only costs about $150.
That's what I put down on my cleaning trailer.

I'm telling ya Joe. Go with rubber, it'll hold up good. I'll install it for free if you come to Mass.

herculiner in a gallon can about 125 a gallon two or three coast on wood 2 or 3 gallons holds up fine. Dont be cheap with it lay it on there and let it dry well before second coat. Fumes are big...have to leave open good 12 hrs to air out.

man thats a great price.. problem is, there are only a few rino and line x guys around here and they all were within range... I had the truck inspected today and the tech told me if this truck passes inspection next year he'll be surprised from the amount of rust in the frame lol.... I guess im going to go with the cheap liner this year, and then pick up one of those cab over engine trucks during the year... I wanted to buy another truck this year.. now i have a reason to buy at least one I gues....no

Brian I am a little worried about the fumes from the back of the van getting into your cab, can you close that up any tighter?
