As with any work at heights, it is important that you use the highest safety standards, soa s to prevent injury and death. My company was previously just a dedicated gutter cleaning company, so we used fall protection systems reguarly, like anhcor points and ladder brackets. But we have since expanded our services and we now install these fall prevention anchors as well.
We have been saved a number of times from falling, becasue of being hooked up, so we know the importance and value of them. But we really want to encourage other gutter cleaners into using adequete fall prevention systems. We are not even trying to get more customers by telling this, but just increase awareness, as we all know one slip, or a lack of concentration and unfortunatelly there can be terrible consequences.

Just one important tip, make sure that the anchor points on your fall arrest systems are certified. Obviously as anchor points on roofs are openly exposed to the elements, they can over time not be up to working order. It is recommended (and also legally required in most states) for anchor points to be annually certified to make sure that they are still in good working order.
So if you are going to go to the trouble of putting on a harness and using a fall prevention system, make sure that the anchor points are safe.
