A question of cleaning Gutters ( insides )

Morning lads, does anyone have a " safe " method to clean the insides of gutters crammed with pine needles? round the house is no problem, the problem occurs when I get to the back of the homes, here in Florida a lot of homes have a pool cage that abutts the home just below the gutter line, so I find myself balancing on the last couple of tiles, leaning over and using a broom, it`s not effective but it sure is dangerous, does anyone have a better safer method please?

cheers for now

Pine needles are the hardest to blow out.

Like Ed, I usually powerwash them out but we also have a lot of pineneedles and they don't come out well even with a PW as Mike said, the stream after a few feet just lifts them up into a intertwined mesh filter and the water doesnt have enough surface area to push them out.  I have tried with a little better success snaking a lenght of hose down the gutterline on full flow for hard to reach areas.  finding flow works better than pressure with needles.

Would love to try the bot out or better yet have someone else try it before I buy smile

Check the reviews online about the robot, horrible horrible reviews. also look on eBay for them. you can get them much cheaper than the list price of 299.

Simon, those gutters that join the pool screen to the house are typically pretty sturdy, you can put some weight on them. For real impacted stuff that won't come out with a blower we will either use our 8 gallon a minute booster pump, or will take a toilet brush and tape it to the end of one of our push polls and push the stuff out.

It's a nasty job and Florida gutters get real funky, but hey that's why they pay us the big bucks

Some of you may benefit from adding micro mesh gutter guards to your such stick.
It's big in the east, lucrative too. Pm if you'd like a short cut to making it work as an add on.
