I’m sure this has been emphasized before but I just wanted to relate how powerful the RCIA roof cleaning network is. Dirty Dan of Apex Roof Cleaning is a competitor of mine and we both perform work in the same county (Carbon) from time to time. On Thursday one of my electric pumps went south on me (50 roofs and various house washes) as we were about to start a job in Marshalls Creek. Not having a back up (yes, shame on me) I had no choice but to run to a box store and pick up a Delavan 7800. It worked for that job and another house wash on Friday.  While I was transferring chemical from bulk storage to my tanks on the truck this morning the little 7800 gave out. By chance Dan called me to see how life was treating me.  Before I could finish telling him what had happened he told me, without hesitation or reservation, to come to his house and I could pick up a pump he had that was brand new. He even told me to use it until I could get another pump. Just to make life easier I bought it from him and he even took a check. Dan is not only a competitor but a gentleman and a friend.

That's awesome Hank.  We have similar relationships with the other two main players here in our market.  If a company is professional, and treats the industry in a professional manner, we reciprocate big time.  (And if not, well.....  furious  LOL   )

We even network with the franchise guys!  The 'franchise' owner for Fairfax and Arlington County is a great guy.  Although we market against each other's processes, it's only business and nothing personal.  It's amazing what professional networking can do. 

(Pssst - keep spares of EVERYTHING on board

Ed i have seen those jokers advertising on craigslist. I also network with a few guys and ed is one of them but there are alot of garbage competitors out there.

Ya Hank and I have a great thing going we help each other out and converse weekly. I knew he would do it for me, so I had no problem doing it for him.

Mike,

I'll be happy to meet with you. Beware of the traffic on 209 north as they have opened the bypass and everyone now gets lost. Also, the exit off of Route 80 to 209 is a horror story as the bridge work has screwed things up. If you need some back roads let me know how you're coming up and I'll get you that info.
